My wife and I love traveling and experiencing different cultures, especially when it comes to food and meeting new people. Needless to say, thanks to our travels, we've made friends with the most incredible people from all over the world.

We have 3 children and we moved to George in January 2017, mainly out of a desire to make a lifestyle change. Before that, we spent 2 years Oxford in the UK where I studied international monetary history as a Rhodes Scholar. We also lived in Cape Town and Stellenbosch for a number of years where I worked as a business intelligence and management consultant. This was followed by a life-changing 2-year sabbatical in Redding, California, USA. I love bodyboarding, so when we decided to return to South Africa I found the idea of living only 21 minutes' drive away from an awesome surf spot like Victoria Bay very appealing indeed! Besides, with so many outdoor activities to choose from, George is an amazing place to raise young kids.

I'm an entrepreneur and management consultant with a passion for optimising the way businesses are run, data visualisation, and startups. My wife, on the other hand, is the foodie, a natural nutritionist, and our family's in-house practical psychologist. She constantly reminds me and the kids of the most important thing in life - relationships!

Both of us love New York City (especially the WholeFoods at Columbus Circle!), sushi, fruit smoothies and those little professional mistake makers we call our kids! Both of us are fiercely independent (we're both the youngest siblings in our two respective families) and enjoy spending time reading books by authors such as Adam Grant, Brené Brown, Malcolm Gladwell, Clayton Christensen, Stephen Covey, Dale Carnegie, and any good autobiography. We also enjoy watching the occasional series on Netflix. Clear favourites include White Collar and Suits.

We're very chill - both as guests and as hosts - and try to live by the mantra 'be present, not perfect', particularly as parents, but also as spouses. Life is short. You better experience it with the people you love!
