The Space

A beautiful nearly 100 year old beach cottage with all the comforts of home 1/2 a block from the Long Island Sound and steps to Walnut Beach in historic Milford, Connecticut awaits!

Perfect for vacationers who enjoy kite and wind surfing, sand up paddling, cycling, sailing or kayaking. If you enjoy tennis, the local recreation center up the block has a court The nearby Audubon Nature Center on the Housatonic River provides excellent summer programs for families with young children. Enjoy casting for blue fish at the end of the street or building a sand castle during the annual competition. Artist fairs on the historic town green are a local attraction as are the oyster and lobster festivals each year. Listen to music or a warm summer night by the harbor or just enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk which connects to Silver Sands State Park and explore Charles Island at low tide and look for pirate booty. Enjoy reading the morning paper with your espresso in the sun room or gaze at the water from the front yard bench. Grill out in just the right sized backyard and enjoy tiki torch dinners in this quiet beach community. Cycling is a nice way to explore the downtown with it's quaint shops, restaurants and harbor. A lovely cafe bike with wicker basket is available for use for local errands as are a kayak and a standup paddle board . Additional bike and kayak rentals are available from the local bike shop Tony's Bikes on the town green or just around the corner from Scoot and Paddle on Naugatuck. On cooler fall or spring nights, snuggle by the back yard chiminea and roast some smores.

If you want to explore the excitement of New York City for the day, it's an easy trip by Metro North train and only 1 1/2 hours away. Or take a boat tour of the Thimble Islands just 25 minutes up I-95.

If cooking is your thing, the kitchen boasts a professional Ilve 5 burner duel fuel range with built in rotiserrie and a brand new Bosch side by side refrigerator. Addtionally, the house comes completely stocked including espresso and pasta machines, juicer and waffle iron along with cook books. The cellar holds not only the washer/dryer, but a wine cooler as well.

Or if you want a holiday, but still need to be commuting distance to your New York City office, this is the place. The house has wi-fi and a home office in the sun room. So whether you just want to relax and get away from it all or a combination of both, Milford is a great destination!

I work in television which can be hectic, so I love to travel a lot when I'm not working. I have friends all over the world thanks to my work! When I'm home I bike a lot or surf.
