The Blue House On the Corner is a comfortable, cozy, two bedroom, one bath home with sleeping for four. This lovely home is located in the town of Fort Jones, California, the Gateway to the Marble Mountains.

The space
The home as built in 1911. It has been completely remodeled but still reflects the essence of that era. Several decorations and furniture are from antique stores or families in the area. The living room has a comfy couch and chairs for relaxing and reading or watching moves.
The fully furnished kitchen also has a microwave, dishwasher, tea pot and coffee maker. Coffee filters, sugar, salt, pepper, tea and hot chocolate are provided. The bathroom's claw foot tub is great for a relaxing it came from the old Blake Hotel in Etna also along with a stand alone shower. The bathroom is on the first floor, bedrooms are on the second floor. Washer and Dryer are on the first floor.
The two private bedrooms are upstairs. One has a queen bed the other has a double bed. The beautiful attic rooms are very comfortable and reflect the best of days gone by!
There is a large deck for morning coffee or dinner outside. Off street parking next to the house.

Neighborhood highlights

Fort Jones has a population of about 600 people. And is going through a transformation. Fort Jones has several great restraunts a museum which is worth walking through, it is manned by volunteers they do try to keep regular hours. Up Sterling Street behind the Post Office is the City Hall and Library you will see the Carriage House past the playground it has several horse drawn wagons and carriages you can view through the windows. The Fort Jones Cemetery in Eastside Road is one of the most serene places is Siskiyou County.
