The space
Our space is a bright, fully remodeled basement studio apartment with a private entrance, and off-street parking, just a few blocks from historic downtown. Please take a moment to read through this listing description BEFORE BOOKING.
***It is important to note that THERE ARE STAIRS down to the apartment, and our family lives upstairs, so YOU WILL PROBABLY HEAR OUR FAMILY during normal daytime hours. We do our best to provide as much privacy and peace and quiet as we can for our guests. Earplugs are provided (in the closet next to the bed) if you need absolute silence to sleep
***Please note that the BATHROOM AND SHOWER STALL ARE VERY COMPACT (shower is about 3 ft x 3 ft) and may not be ideal for those who need a lot of space to move around in the bathroom. We kindly request that you not book and then leave us a bad review saying the shower is small as it is disclosed here.
We designed and renovated the apartment space, with the intent of preserving the character of our 1920s home, while integrating modern upgrades for comfort. Keep in mind that this is a 100-year old house and there may be some minor noises from the pipes and floors. Earplugs are provided if you need absolute silence to sleep.
Upon arrival, check in through your AirBnB app under the TRIPS icon by clicking on “Check-In Details”.
Please take a moment to browse through the welcome binder when you arrive. It contains information about the apartment, answers to frequently asked questions, and our recommendations for local eateries and attractions. There is also a photo album in the apartment with some before and after photos of the space if you are interested. The binder contains detailed information about the ins and outs of the apartment as well as user manuals for the appliances and the futon, so check there first if you have a question, it's likely we've addressed it. That said, don't hesitate to contact us, we're happy to help!
There is a smart TV so you can access your Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. or sling play easily to the TV from your smart phone.
This apartment is small but family-friendly. The futon couch folds out into a full sized bed, and we have a full sized air mattress, bassinet, and pack-and-play in the closet. There is also a baby gate for the stairs, a few toys and books, some games, and a stroller to help keep little ones occupied. Let us know the size of your party and any special needs you may have. We recommend no more than 3 adults or 2 adults/4 kids, but we also know how it is to travel on a budget with a big family!
The apartment stays nice and toasty during the winter, and there are extra blankets and a space heater in the closet if you’re especially cold-blooded. There is a portable AC unit we set up in the summer months and several fans to keep air circulating.
There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, stove, toaster, teapot, and Keurig. Feel free to cook up a storm, just make sure to leave the kitchen as you found it and wash any dishes used.
You are welcome to utilize the outside gravel side yard, which is fully fenced and leads out onto our front deck. Please note that the front deck does have an open entrance, so pets or little ones could potentially wander out of the backyard if not closely supervised. There is a fire pit and some comfy Adirondack Chairs in the side yard, which guests are welcome to use. The front deck is a shared space with our family, guests are always welcome to join us.
Traveling professionals are welcome and will be given a discounted rate for stays longer than a week. Please contact us for details and availability.
*** COVID-19 update: To keep our guests safe, we are taking extra cleaning measures to disinfect the apartment between stays. There are not currently any state or local restrictions in our area for hosting guests

You will have the full studio apartment to yourself, with a private entrance accessible by electronic keypad. The side yard and front deck are shared areas with our family.

Neighborhood highlights
We love our neighborhood, and we think you will too! Historic downtown is flourishing, with new local businesses opening regularly. We've provided lots of recommendations for local establishments and menus in our apartment's AirBnB binder.
We are one block from the Twin Falls City Park and Library, 7 blocks from downtown and 10 blocks from our local climbing gym. There is a grocery market within walking distance (about 5 blocks away)
During the summer, there is a downtown Farmer's Market on Saturdays, and free community concerts on Wednesday nights at the Downtown Commons. The Twin Falls Municipal Band plays at the city park on Thursday evenings from May-August.
Outdoor recreation abounds in southern Idaho. There are plenty of opportunities for biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, fishing, and even BASE jumping. There are lots of beautiful sights to see. Don't leave town without seeing Shoshone Falls and crossing the Snake River Canyon on the Perrine Bridge (watch for BASE jumpers from all over the world!)
