The space
In the early 1920's the Lodge was part of Massanutten Caverns Resort. It contained a large arcade room, dining area and gift shop that guests would visit while they were touring the cave. The grand hall hosted many events over the years and in the 1980's, after the caverns were closed to the public, the Lodge was converted into a bed and breakfast.

The Old Massanutten Lodge was once the home to the entrance to Massanutten Caverns. Although the caverns are now closed to the public, the Lodge still stands tall as the Historic home of the 1920, s resort.
Newly renovated, the Lodge has kept its historic charm and provides all the amenities to provide modern comforts along with the grace and grandeur of the bygone era.
As you enter the 100-year-old Great Hall, you will be greeted by 20-foot vaulted ceilings, grand double staircase and a massive hand laid rock fireplace. This room provides the perfect arena for your family reunions, birthdays and celebrations.
Kitchen is newly renovated and stocked for large crowds. We have recently added a larger refrigerator an extra ice maker and upgraded to a gas stove, SS appliances, granite countertops, outdoor gas grill and electric smoker. Commercial sized coffee pot as well as 2 drip coffee pots, waffle iron, assorted crock pots, large stock pots and a great assortment of dishes, glassware and utensils. Dining room boasts 16 feet of farm table space (14 guests). The kitchen and Great Hall provide additional dining tables.
There are 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. A total of 10 beds: 1K,6Q, 2 Twins, 1 F and a futon. We are pleased to provide quality linens and towels and guests love our mattresses!
5 wooded acres surround the Lodge with hiking trails behind the Lodge. Wildlife is abundant with deer grazing in the yard almost daily. Enjoy the sounds of the water fall garden and there is plenty of space for outdoor games. Our Commercial size parking lot is suitable for 15 cars.
There are 2 smart Tvs, high speed internet and Sonos sound speakers throughout the main floor.
Enjoy your favorite beverages from the grand front porch veranda, patio near the waterfall garden and covered side porch, 2 porch swings with bistro lighting make outdoor entertaining delightful! Two log firepits as well as one propane firepit are available for the cool evenings.

The Lodge is the perfect place for birthdays, graduations, reunions and corporate retreats.
We have wooden tables and chairs, buffet and round with linens we can set up for small events.
A player piano can be set up for a classy background music experience for your entertainment during dinner or relaxing by the fire.
Preorder your groceries and we will pick them up and set them up in the kitchen to reduce the stress of having to make that first grocery run!
Guest access
Guest will have access to the entire Lodge with the exception of the garage, basement and the private apartment behind the garage. We are not on the premises unless we are assisting an event. We have installed a ring doorbell/camera for your safety and contactless entry.

All events must be pre approved. Ask about our event packages! We can provide tables, chairs and linens (to include table setup and take
down ). Our newly acquired player piano is perfect for background music during your event.
We are now pleased to offer Comcast High Speed Internet and basic cable services. There are 2 high definition TVs each with their own DVD and chromcast for video or streaming services.
We have a massive gas log set in the main room of the Lodge. Each night rental has 1.5 hours of gas log usage. We use the honor system which allows you to utilize the gas logs at your convenience. We provide the remote and a written log for you to self monitor your usage. If you would like more time it can be arranged for an additional charge of $50 dollars per hour. This gas log set was custom made and is one of the largest available. It uses a lot of gas and so we are required to limit its usage. During periods of extreme cold, we reserve the right to require a set time for running the logs, so we can manually close the dampers to conserve heat when logs are not running.
