We have several great restaurants right here in Summerland that are just a short walk away. The very popular Summerland Beach Cafe serves great breakfasts and lunch. Another fun place for lunch and dinner is the local hangout The Nugget, where both Presidents Reagan and Clinton ate at. You never know who you will see there, Kevin Costner, Troy Aikman, and other local celebrities frequent the Nugget.
The February 2012 issue of Sunset magazine picks Summerland as one of the 5 best tropical dream towns in the west! "With picket fences, cedar-shake buildings, and a cute-as-a-button main drag, Summerland is like a dose of New England charm...albeit with palm trees, better surf, and the Bikini (website hidden)."
Please note that as of July 1, 2014 Santa Barbara County is charging us a 10% transient occupancy (hotel) tax which is imposed on bookings less than 30 consecutive days. This tax is reflected in the price.

Truly wonderful experience! So clean, such a beautiful area, Al and Christy were both super nice. Very comfortable bed, a lot of space and did I mention cleeeean? Hummingbirds while having breakfast outside, and star gazing with a glass of wine in the evening. We just had to stay longer than planned, we loved it so much!
The large studio is as beautiful and tastefully decorated as is pictured, and Al & Christy have gone out of their way to make it a secluded haven, full of all sorts of thoughtful amenities including fresh flowers, lots of fluffy towels, fruit, candy, snack bars, coffee, bottles of water in the refrigerator, and more toiletries provided (in case you've forgotten something) than any five star hotel I've stayed in. The studio is spotlessly clean, and the bathroom fixtures look almost brand new. There are windows on all four sides of the studio so you get to enjoy the ocean breezes. There's great parking (most Summerland rentals have you park on the street), especially appreciated when coming home late and not having to fight for a parking space on narrow streets. The gardens and flower pots are full of succulents and vibrant flowering plants that thrive in that microclimate - someone's got a green thumb! They've provided recommendations for local eateries, and the Cantwell Deli just down the street has a great selection of wines, groceries, and daily prepared foods if you don't want to cook. You are within walking distance from the local park & beach, and minutes to Montecito & Santa Barbara. Al & Christy are just a phone call away, but I never had to call them - they'd thought of everything in advance. I'd like to think it's what I'd offer if I had such a great property in such a beautiful area. I feel so fortunate to have found it.
Perfect location for a seaside getaway! The studio was great for two - we felt right at home. The space was clean and bright and very comfortable. We loved the neighborhood with great views of the ocean and the cute spot, like the Summerland Beach Cafe, to have a bite to eat. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!!
This first experience with Airbnb has set the bar incredibly high.
There was a bowl of fresh strawberries sitting out on the kitchen table for us when we arrived. The studio was clean, spacious, and full of natural light. The hosts provided all the bathroom amenities you'd expect from a hotel and then some.
I would recommend this great find to anyone!
