  • Had the most relaxing time. There is nothing better than snuggling up to the fireplace and reading a good book. The snow shoes were icing on the cake.

  • My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time at Mike's cottage. It was MUCH lovelier than the photos show. In fact, I'd say the photos don't do justice to the space. It is completely private (there are other cabins nearby but you only realize that once you're out on the lake in a canoe and can see them). The lake is huge and excellent for swimming and canoeing. There was a grill and everything else you could need to have a great time. It was exactly what we wanted: a cozy weekend full of great food, being on the lake, and staring at the stars at night. Thank you, Mike! We hope to come back sometime in the future.

  • We loved the setting of the cabin, so quiet the only other car we saw was the guy handing out phone books. The cabin was very nice and could really get used to going there for some R & R.

  • We could not have had a better time at this beautiful getaway! The character of the cabin, the cleanliness and Mike's hospitality made the weekend just perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the craziness and faced paced world - time really seemed to slow down. :)

Thanks Mike - we will definitely come again!

  • I had a great time at Mike's cabin! The place is clean, well kept, and really cozy, with lots of outdoor space and a good central area to hang out in. The lake access is amazing... right outside the door! Nice and remote, yet just a few minutes' drive to town. Mike was kind enough to let me use their snowshoes, and even let me check out a bit late since I was so late getting in. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a getaway. Thanks, Mike!

  • Great cabin, perfect amount of seclusion and fireplace to take the cold off the -1 temp outside.

Mike was a very communicative, easily right there for any questions.

  • We loved our stay! My husband and I went here for our ten year anniversary and it was perfect: cozy, modern-with-rustic-touches, simple, comfortable, close to the lake, we had wifi but no tv and amazing access to nature. Everything we wanted. I loved the layout, the kitchen was great and so nice that it had all the things you would have in your own kitchen (just bring your own food).

Totally worth it, I highly recommend. Also-we had a question for the owner while we were there and he was super responsive and helpful.

  • This cabin is really nice. It is very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. You can't see or hear any neighbors, so it truly feels like you're away from everything. We mostly chose this location because it was close to Itasca, and we were pleased at how easy and quick the drive to/from there was. My husband also enjoyed kayaking on the chain of lakes. I would definitely return to this cabin. Also, communication with Mike was easy and he was very responsive and helpful.
