Interaction with Guests
We do enjoy interacting with our guests and a phone call or email will be arranged after booking to confirm details and address any questions. We will then provide access to the lockbox for your access. We respect your privacy during your stay, and normally we will not be present on the property during your stay. However, myself and caretakers do reserve the right to show up unannounced at any time. Our caretakers Donna, Ralph or Austin have our permission to deliver and retrieve supplies from the garage or cabin at any time. They usually do not interact with guests unless you have needs that need to be addressed.
No neighbors in sight. We enjoy the seclusion and privacy of our lakeside cabin. While friends do live nearby, the cabin itself seems alone in the woods. In the summer on the lake or driving down the dirt road a simple wave to a passerby is always a treat.
Guests should enjoy themselves responsibly, smoking is not permitted on property nor are pets or fireworks please. We also do not allow hunting or trapping on the property. Please clean up after yourselves.Thank you for your cooperation.
We just came back; the cabin was a perfect fit for the weekend we were looking for. Very peaceful and cozy. This was the perfect getaway for my wife myself and our two boys. The gas fireplace was a great place to relax with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. the place was very clean and welcoming. Thank you Mike for a great experience!
The weekend was beautiful. The weather was amazing, the cabin was picturesque and the scenery was classic. I went up with my girlfriend and came back with my fiancé. We will definitely reach back out to relive the experience again at a later date:)
This cabin was magnificent! We loved the place, the lake and the woods. Mike was really helpful and not intrusive at all. he even let us check out a little bit later so we could pack and do our thing without feeling rushed.
I am actually excited to check this cabin in the summer and bring all my fishing gear. It seems like a good spot for a fishing weekend trip. Thanks mike!
The cabin was great, exactly what you'd want for a weekend up north. It was in a private location with a great woodsy feel. The home was clean and ready for us. Definitely would recomend/stay again.
We had such a great weekend at your cabin! The weather was perfect all weekend and we got to walk on the lake and check out the property, it was overall a really great time and we will definitely be coming back! Thanks Again Mike
The cabin was very clean and comfortable with beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!
Mike's cabin is fantastic! About 3 minutes after arriving at the cabin, once we finished our initial tour, we started planning our next trip up to the cabin! We're already planning on bringing friends up this summer, as well as another weekend getaway for the two of us.
Everything was exactly as listed and then some. The kitchen was stocked with any kind of cooking utensil, pot, pan, or dish you could possibly need. Plus basic condiments, tin foil, wax paper, etc. There is shampoo, conditioner & soap provided but they are travel sized so if you're staying long you may want to bring your own. We were just fine with the small size since we were just there a weekend.
The lake is beautiful and is just a quick walk through the backyard away (you can see the lake from kitchen & master bedroom). We did some ice fishing, caught a lot of perch but the walleye proved too elusive. Looking forward to going back again in the sumemr to do more fishing/boating (there are canoes provided) and explore more of the lake.
As a heads up, the address marker is at the end of the turn around, not at the driveway entrance. This is great because you can see it from the lake easily, but we drove past the driveway initially. It was also quite dark when we arrived, so had we arrived during the day, I'm sure we would have seen the drive without a problem.
Mike was great to work with and willing to answer all our questions. We even had to (unfortunately) text him Friday night upon our arrival and he responded quickly and thoroughly; despite the fact we were intruding on his Friday. We will definitely work with Mike again in the future and can't wait to schedule our next trip up to Nevis.
