Summer at the Barn is like summer camp but with comfortable beds and AC. Grill epic meals, go on hikes, relax on the hammock and enjoy our 4 acres with stream, fire pit & pond.  End the day with a refreshing outdoor shower and s'mores at the fire pit. And if you must work remotely, we have wifi & cel reception. The space
*For everybody's safety, our team is cleaning the Barn according to the CDCs new standards
*The Hudson Valley is practicing social distancing and businesses require face coverings

SLEEPING LAYOUT
We host an absolute maximum of *6* guests, including kids over 1 year old and host no visitors, daytime or overnight or parties.

There are five beds distributed throughout the three levels in what we call sleeping nooks. The Barn is a loft and each of these four sleeping nooks are separate from each other and offer partial privacy.

FIRST FLOOR //
Piano Nook: Brand new, 10in thick, queen Casper mattress on wooden frame. This bed is set up with bedding for sleeping or can be used as a day bed.

SECOND FLOOR //
King Nook: Plush, 12 in thick, king mattress on wooden bed frame. 50 inch Smart TV.

Twin Nook: 2 metal trundle beds with 2 brand new, twin, 8in thick Casper mattresses.

LOFT NOOK //
Brand new, 10in thick Casper mattress *on the floor*. View of the creek and of the second floor.

NEW COOLING SYSTEM
We have just installed a state of the art, super efficient heating and cooling, mini split system. It works automatically and will always ensure the perfect temperature in the Barn.

In the Winter, you can level up the coziness factor by firing up the wood burning stove. We provide all the wood you'll ever need, neatly & photogenically stacked behind the stove.

KITCHEN
Rustic kitchen equipped for your cooking pleasure. Plates, cups, mugs, utensils & pans included. Nothing too fancy. Our french press is actually German & quite nice. Our Sub-Zero fridge is pretty fancy. Convection oven, cooktop, large sink. *No dishwasher*

We have a gas grill on the deck just outside the kitchen (seasonal). Guests have also used the fire pit to cook.

BATHROOMS
FIRST FLOOR // Full bathroom with rain shower.
SECOND FLOOR // Full bathroom with claw foot tub (no shower).
OUTDOOR // Spacious hot & cold outdoor shower open from May through October.

Bath towels & organic, biodegradable toiletries provided.
*Bring your own outdoor/swimming towels.*

DRESSING ROOM
We have a dressing room (enclosed by linen curtains) with a large mirror and plenty of hangers. Steamer, iron & board available *upon request*.

LIBRARY
All sorts of books - we’re sure you’ll find something curious. Enjoy it on the hammock in the Summer or by the wood burning stove in the Winter. Small collection of games.

BACK DECK
Furnished from May to the first snow.
Brand new seating and dinning for Summer cookouts!
Large gas grill and fire pit are your outdoor cooking options.

OUTDOOR SHOWER
Open May to October
On sticky, hot Summer days our private & spacious, hot & cold outdoor shower cools you off while you gaze at the trees and sky.

FIRE PIT
Located behind the deck and stacked for your campfire pleasure.

LARGER PROPERTY / 4 acres
If you walk along the creek you’ll get to two different spots where you can access the water. One spot has a pebble beach with a deepish spot where you can dip in. The other entrance has a small wooden platform ideal for meditating, practicing yoga or just watching nature.

Our property also features a *non-swimming* pond where we have installed a beautiful custom cedar table. Head down there for a picnic!

Location

Tivoli, New York, United States

Tivoli is a tiny village, friendly & quaint, centrally located between Rhinebeck and Hudson with Germantown and Red Hook along the way.

It's one of the Hudson Valley's hidden gems and an easy, 5 minute walk from the Barn.

It's an awesome spot to explore the Mid-Hudson Valley - from farms to old mansions, from antiquing to watching cabaret at the Spiegeltent or high-end dance & music performances at the Frank Gehry Performing Arts Center.

Visit Olana, catch experimental music at the Basilica Hudson, take an easy hike through the Poet's Walk. Not to mention all the wonderful dining experiences all the way from Rhinebeck to Hudson.

For the adventurous guests we have Tivoli Bays (multiple entrances close to us) for kayaking, paddle boarding, bike riding or just a hike on your own two feet.

I also love that Tivoli has one of each amenity and they are all worth checking out; remember, it's a 5 minute walk!

Murray's Coffee Shop / Brunch all day
Tivoli Bakery / hmmm, chocolate brioches...
Tivoli General / tiny shop with a great selection of food, beer & hard cider
The Corner / Fabulous setting with farm to table food & amazing drinks
Santa Fé / Mexican restaurant with porch
Rojo / Tapas
Osaka / affordable Sushi
Fab Yarn / yarn shop
Tangent Theater
The Tivoli Gallery
Kaatsbaan / a Dance performance space
Traghaven / nothing better then a pub within walking distance

oh and not 1 but 2 wellness boutiques (by appointment only).

Bruna is a Creative Producer who landed in New York City from Brazil two decades ago. Andrew is a Designer/Builder and a Sustainability Consultant. After our son was born, we felt the urge to return to the best things of our childhood; space, trees, clean air, birds & bees and farm fresh wonderfulness! So we moved up to the magical Hudson Valley, upstate New York. The Barn in Tivoli is available year around. We live in the Cottage across the driveway and make it available when we travel. Note that we *do not* host weddings or other parties. It is our pleasure to share our land with our guests. Escape the city and experience the magic of country living! Bruna & Andrew
