Guests return year after year, praising the charming design, cleanliness, and Stephanie's responsiveness
Located in the National Historic District of Ybor City (less than 5 minutes from Amalie Arena, the convention center, downtown, and cruise ports!), our award-winning little cottages stack up perfectly with the charm of their historic neighbors while featuring all the modern conveniences. Nicely tucked away from the energy of Ybor's renowned 7th Avenue, it's a short walk to plentiful dining & entertainment options. Take the free streetcar from Ybor through Channelside and downtown!

The space
This listing is for BOTH of our newer construction cottages (casitas). The smaller casita has one bedroom and the larger has two bedrooms. The spaces are well-appointed with everything you might need to feel at home in one of our favorite neighborhoods in the USA. As we like to say, "every guest can be a local."

Each house has a full kitchen that includes a sink, two-burner electric cooktop, full-size fridge, coffee maker, and electric kettle. The larger house also has a convection oven and a dining nook.

Feel free to browse our book collection, but please leave all media in the house for everyone's continued enjoyment.

Our casitas also come with two dedicated off-street parking spots, and an outdoor dining and lounge area so that you can fully enjoy the famous Tampa sunshine (or moonlight).

Guest access
With your booking you have access to the casitas and the entire private yard and parking area. Because of our love of Ybor, we have put together an amazing 'cheat sheet' of our favorite spots in the neighborhood for anyone, at any time of day. Between my husband and I, we've got 20 years experience living in the neighborhood and are excited to share our treasures and tips with guests! Please let me know if you're interested in recommendations and I will send our list along via email. A physical copy of the list is also kept at the little houses.

Other things to note
Please keep in mind that while Ybor is a beautiful historic neighborhood, it is also a popular entertainment district. On weekend nights, you can expect some neighborhood noise - we provide ear plugs and noise machines for a sound sleep!

Neighborhood highlights

Ybor is the historic jewel of Tampa, and the house sits right in its residential district. A myriad of entertainment and dining options exist within a few minutes' walk, from Florida's oldest restaurant, the famous Columbia, to newer additions to the neighborhood. We keep a good list of our personal recommendations in the house to use as a cheat-sheet.

In 2015, my husband and I set out on an adventure to design and build our very own tiny-ish house in one of our favorite places - Ybor City. In 2017, we got the itch again and built a second 'big' little house next door. I am an architect/designer/micro developer based in Ybor -- but I love to travel! I am VERY involved in our neighborhood and I love the opportunity to host guests so that they, too, can experience the coolest spot in Tampa Bay.
