The space
The unique and privileged environment. Independence, tranquility, peace and silence. At dawn there are hundreds of birds singing. During the night the sky is spectacular and if you are lucky you can see shooting stars. Nor is it difficult if it is quiet to see deer on the plot or in the wheat field that borders the garden next to the pool.
Beautiful mountain walking and mountain or road biking trails for all levels offered by the Tobalina Valley and its surroundings. Cereal plantations among the vegetation make each season of the year colorful. The house is next to one of the variants of the GR99 of the Ebro. Well located for excursions to Bilbao, Burgos, Vitoria Santander, Rioja wineries. All this makes it highly recommended to enjoy nature with family and friends. Also very suitable for yoga or language courses.
The house was renovated 30 years ago, maintaining its original English-style structure. For many years it has been the family vacation and weekend house, although now we rent it out. It is not merely a rental house, it is a house that has been lived in a lot, it is very cozy, decorated by me and my family, so do not be surprised to see photos and a photo album that has been left in the living room. It is very complete with kitchen utensils, tablecloths, etc. and small decoration details that we have been buying or that friends and family who came to spend a few days have been giving us. This makes it really cozy and familiar. We don't mind sharing a part of our life with guests. We are happy to give information about the area, what to see, where to shop, where to walk, routes, etc.
On the fridge door are the contacts of interest in the area and some rules. It is not a house for parties without control (if the plan is to drink, we would ask you not to book it). Of course you can have a few beers in the garden contemplating the night or the day, but out of respect for nature and the 4 neighbors we ask for a little common sense. And that things be used politely, that they break from use not from misuse, please. There is no stereo, so we recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker.
If you smoke, please use ashtrays. Cigarette butts must be picked up one by one by hand and it is not a matter of good taste, in addition to the risk of fire. On the plot there is a forest area that is protected as it is made up of boxwood and junipers, which are protected species. In summer it is hot so there is a risk of fire. It may be grounds for losing the deposit.

- A pool of approximately 10 x 3 meters. (without fencing) - We are not responsible for any mishap that may happen in the pool, especially if there are children who do not know how to swim. We recommend taking extreme caution, wearing armbands, floating vests or even not booking the house.

Other things to note
- Large Italian coffee maker, there are 2. Very typical question!!! :)
- Barbecues are prohibited in the valley due to the risk of fires. We do have an iron and a gas paella pan that doubles as a barbecue, being cleaner, healthier, and easier to light.
- Absolutely forbidden to light fires in the garden under risk of a fine and strictly controlled by the Civil Guard.
- We don't supply garden towels, only shower towels.
- We supply a pack of paper napkins, a roll of paper towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom, dishwashing soap for a few days, and dishwasher tablets for 4 washes. We do not supply washing machine soap.
- We recommend bringing more napkins and toilet paper.
- There is no stereo, so we recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker.
- The upstairs bathroom is inside the master bedroom, so we recommend leaving one of the fireplace lamps on at night so that those who go downstairs to use the downstairs bathroom can find their way.
- The water is drinkable, it comes out fresh, it is from a spring, and is controlled by those responsible for the city council. Since there wasn't much pressure, we installed a pump that turns on automatically when it detects a need for water.
- For stays longer than 5 days in summer, we ask that you please water the plants a little at night if necessary. We'll explain it to you when you arrive.
- Anyway, we're at your disposal to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
