The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stove, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, Nespresso machine, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Approximate distances: 100 meters to Dorp Street, 450 meters to Church Street, 750 meters to Stellenbosch Town Hall, 1.1 kilometers to the University of Stellenbosch (measured to Administration Block A), 1.8 kilometers to Coetzenburg sports grounds (measured to the graduation venue), 1.5 kilometers to Mediclinic Winelands Orthopedic Hospital, 2.5 kilometers to Stellenbosch Mediclinic, 18 kilometers to Somerset West (measured to Somerset Mall), 34 kilometers to Cape Town International Airport.
Guest access
You're renting an entire apartment in an apartment complex consisting of 12 privately owned units.
The apartment is one floor above ground level and guests have one reserved, covered parking bay at ground level.
Other things to note
● Key collected and dropped off at a lock box approximately 5 minutes' drive from the apartment. So sorry about that! We're not permitted lock boxes on site, and a smart lock on the front door won't get you through the building gates 😑
If you're traveling for business, we can arrange a key drop at the office.
● Check-in (14h00) and check-out (10h00) times are unfortunately not flexible. Arrival after hours is no problem.
● The building doesn't have storage for luggage (please ask about an off-site alternative, which may work for some).
● The apartment has one bedroom - a child can be accommodated on a single bed size mattress in the living area.
● If collecting the key isn't ideal, you could also consider one of my other two listings that don't have the same building rule.

Where you’ll be
Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
Herte Street is a one-way street off Dorp Street in the historic core of the Stellenbosch tourist district. Squirrel & Vine apartment is around the corner from the nostalgic 'Oom Samie se Winkel' shop, and from the second oldest pub in South Africa (De Akker). A number of buildings in the street have national monument status. Directly across the street is the Johnman Music School and Johnman's Old Cape garden at 'Camido'.
The street has inspired some important artworks. JH Pierneef produced 'Gewel, Hertestraat, Stellenbosch' in 1923. Architect and artist Hannes Meiring was a resident of Herte Street, the subject of a number of his drawings.
