Black Dog Lodge is a place to re-connect with family and make memories while adventuring the Upper Peninsula and exploring the road less traveled. The cabin has a wood burning furnace, wood burning stove and lots of common area to eat family dinners and enjoy each others company. Fire pits for roasting marshmallows and telling stories in the summer months. All bedrooms and bathrooms are fully furnished with bedding, extra blankets, and towels. The space
The Cabin is a large full log cabin with tons of space for large groups. When you drive up you will see the cabin with the attached garage and large pole barn. The property sits on 6 acres of woods with trails leading to back roads and snowmobile trails. There are large trees throughout the property. In the front of the home there is a fire pit and 2 picnic tables for summer time for families to grill out at. The gas grill is located near the front porch where you can sit and enjoy the scenic views. The porch is covered and has a couple rocking chairs, 2 larger wicker chairs, and a couch with a coffee table.
Once you walk into one of the 2 sliders, it will lead you into a cozy but large space for lots if use. There is a large dining room, 2 living rooms, 60 inch screen TV, Dvd's, table for board games, puzzles, and card games. The space offers a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. The island has a couple stools to chat with your company while cooking. There is a laundry area located in the game area with washer and dryer. Master bedroom is on the main level with a full bathroom and tons of storage. Additionally, there is a propane heater for a extra heat in the winter months.
The upstairs has 7 bedrooms and 2 baths with remodeled showers. The hall way upstairs wraps around the common space with a view of the sitting area and living room. The wood burning stove puts out a good amount of heat when you turn the fans on and will warm the main area nicely. In the summer months the cabin stays pretty cool with all the trees surrounding it and keeping most of the area shaded.
Enjoy a bike ride down to one of the cleanest lakes around offering public access, camping, and boat launch. The Luce county Park also has volleyball, beach, area for large covered area for gatherings, and a dog area. The lake is very shallow for about 500 feet out making it a great place for families with youngsters.
The Moose Du Nord is a little shop just down the road that has gas pumps, pizza, ice cream, and souvenirs. Just past that is a the Taylor Market. The Taylor Market is a small grocery store that has a deli, beer and wine, large liquor section, and the bed is you may need while on your stay. They also have a couple gas pumps.

The cabin is heated by a wood burning furnace you will be responsible for keeping the wood stocked for heat to keep going and a wood burning stove in main areas. This is only used in the winter months. Full cords of wood provided.
The master has a propane heater when it is much lower temps.
Guests will have access to pole barn for storing sleds, boats, and toys that may have been trailered up.
