We had the best time here in our Moroccan Riad!! our host Veronique was not available but our second host Kalid was there. From the moment we arrived, Kalid assisted us with everything from Marrakesh airport transfer to the Riad (definitely recommended as locating the riad can be challenging) to helping us with luggage. Kalid made us a delicious breakfast everyday with Mint Tea and Moroccan coffee! He even helped us return to the airport as the airline lost our luggage. The Riad itself is beautiful, clean and gives you a sense of 'real' Morocco. There is a laundry upstairs which helped. The rooftop of the Riad is also beautiful so remember to head up here at night time to chill and star gaze! We even had room mates staying with us - 2 tortoise and a Cat name Jean. The Riad is 10minute walking distance to Jame el Place (main square) and is very safe and easy to walk to. It is located in a quiet area with neighbourhood kids running about. Very homey and safe. We loved our time in Marrakesh and staying in a Riad is most definitely recommended!!!
Since we got to marrakech Ms. Veronique was very nice . She sent a taxi for us to the airport and when we got to the riad she showed us the place with a map. She made us certain recomendations and we had a great time during our stay. She is a lovely guest.
Staying at Veronique's was like being at home, she was so courteous. The breakfest is tasty, and the room was just like the photos. Thanks for your kindness.
We stayed in Veronique's beautiful Riad for 4 nights and had a very good time. Veronique is a good and very friendly host making you feel at home right away. She gave us nice tips on what to do in the city. It was nice sharing our holiday experiences during breakfast. The Riad is a quiet oasis in the middle of the busy medina souk. A great place to relax after a busy day of exploring Marrakesh. Please be aware of skateboarding turtles (LOL)....
We loved staying with Veronique! She assisted us by sending a taxi to meet us at the airport and was gracious in everything. Her home and it's location were perfect!!! Her house is in the thick of everything. Veronique also assisted us with things we were interested in purchasing and really went out of her way for us. She is just an incredibly lovely person. Stay at Veronique's home -- it will be a high point of her travels.
Veronique was such a lovely host-- we showed up with no real plans and ready for anything, and she was a wealth of knowledge and information about Marrakech. Our trip was very much enhanced by Veronique's guidance-- I feel we are indebted to her for her kindness and generosity! She also let us take over the kitchen for a cooking class she helped arrange with a local who helped us buy the ingredients in the market and helped us cook.
The riad itself is very charming (for instance there are 2 house turtles that roam about), and the location is right in the thick of the Medina so there is no shortage of crazy high-energy Marrakech available to soak in. There is a market for basic food and water as well as decent restaurants serving both modern and traditional fair within only 5min walk. Since the rooms are on the ground floor, the space is very cool even when it was unseasonably hot outside. Plenty of warm water and no issues at all. I felt it was a comfortable place to stay for 4 nights.
