Dedicated workspace

A room with wifi that’s well-suited for working.
Sparkling clean French Quarter gem with private entrance & rooftop terrace located at the main entrance to the Quarter. Just steps away from Bourbon St, Louis Armstrong Park, Jackson Square, historic bars, restaurants & live entertainment!

Since 1921, this historic property has been owned and occupied by the Sunseri family and P&J Oyster Company: P&J is a family business and the oldest wholesale oyster company in America.

Our property is bright, airy, and each bedroom has its own bathroom!

The space
We know you are coming to the Big Easy to experience its unique and seemingly endless gifts. And, it matters to our family - a lot - that you are supremely happy and comfortable during your stay.

When you arrive at your Suite you’ll find a space that is sparkling clean, open, airy, and decorated with both new and vintage décor. A space that has ceilings stretching as high as 12 feet, french doors and windows that provide lots of natural light, three completely private bedrooms each with its own fabulous bath area, group friendly interior and exterior living spaces, and many interesting gems of New Orleans architecture.

Although our home has been fully renovated to incorporate all the conveniences of modern life such as wifi and central air, it maintains it's rich sense of history and antiquity. Most of the house is original from the stairway, cypress doors, hardwood floors and exposed beams to the artwork on our walls, and we are happy to say that nearly all of the modern updates incorporate green, recycled materials.

Once you settle in, open up the French doors through which you’re likely to hear the sound of a thriving tourist center including the occasional drum circle in Congo Square, brass band wafting from Louis Armstrong Park and the low rumbling of the streetcar that conveniently runs along N. Rampart Street.

Our prime location combined with the ambiance we’ve created within will offer you an ideal home base from which to explore all the magic that is the New Orleans.

As our Guests you will have complete and private access to the following:

• The entire top floor of the building
• Three completely private bedrooms, each w/Queen bed and in-suite bathroom
• White noise machines for our super light sleepers
• A well stocked kitchen
• Large open plan living and dining area w/French doors that open to the street
• Multiple TVs with access to 50 channels
• One half bath located adjacent to the living room
• A private rooftop patio

If you catch us at work in the office below your Suite please feel free to walk in and ask us for food, & sight seeing suggestions. Our family has been working in and with the New Orleans restaurant industry for 144 years and we truly enjoy sharing our passion for this City that we love so dearly.

Guest access
Guests have full and complete private use of upstairs of the building, rooftop deck, and private side entrance with personalized key code entrance.

Meet your hosts

My work: P & J Oyster Co., Inc.
Lives in New Orleans, Louisiana
I'm a 5th generation New Orleanian, my family migrated from Trabia, Sicily in 1857 to New Orleans as a merchant of seafood and other fruits and vegetables through the Mississippi River. My Grandfather worked for United Fruit Co. and asked my Grandmother to marry him, her father said he couldn't marry her until he made more money. His solution was to acquire a job working his way into the oyster distribution business, after some time he finally proved he was worthy of my Grandmother's hand and worked his way into being a full partner and that's how P & J Oyster house became a family business. We are now in the 5th generation of our family run business and the oldest oyster processors in the United States. Today I run the business with my brother Sal, and son Blake Sunseri. We're excited to welcome guests to our family business to share some of the rich culture and history the city has to offer.
