Perfect for couples getaways and relaxing weekends, the cabin is close to hiking, boating, wineries, antique shops, skiing, and charming New England towns. End your days soaking in the hot tub and relaxing by the fire under the stars.

The space
The Little Lake Cabin is tucked away in a quiet lake community directly across from Candlewood Lake and backs up to Squantz Pond State Park. Nestled in a peaceful wooded area, the cabin is perfect for couples getaways, romantic weekends, lake vacations, hiking trips, and year-round escapes in Connecticut.

Outside, guests can enjoy a year-round hot tub, stone fire pit with Adirondack chair seating, Weber grill, outdoor dining area, seasonal outdoor shower, and kayaks for exploring the lake (available late April- late October). The wooded setting offers privacy, seasonal lake views, and a relaxing indoor-outdoor experience designed for slowing down and reconnecting with nature.

Inside, the bright and cozy living space features large windows, comfortable seating, an electric fireplace, and a TV with streaming services. The cabin is stocked with board games and books for unplugged evenings, while the fully equipped kitchen includes cookware, utensils, coffee, tea, oil, and cooking basics for easy meals at home.

The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, plush robes, and Public Goods toiletries for a spa-like feel. Both bedrooms have queen beds with soft bedding and peaceful wooded views.

The cabin is approximately 500 sq ft, adding to its cozy charm, and is best suited for up to 4 guests.

The entire house & property is available for you to use. You can access the cabin 24/7 during your stay with door keypad.

Other things to note
The left side of the property is a wildflower lawn. In summer and fall it may look tall or “wild”. This is intentional to support pollinators.

Parking for 1 or 2 cars in the driveway only. No street parking (roads are narrow and block neighbors).

The cabin is pet friendly, please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a pet.

The ductless AC/heat is in the main living area. For best airflow, keep bedroom and bathroom doors open when possible.

The cabin in the woods, wildlife, insects, and nature are part of the experience.

Our vintage 1947 refrigerator is charming but small. The freezer functions as an icebox and can frost over. A Yeti-style cooler is provided for additional frozen storage (just add ice).

The cabin is located in a quiet lake community with nearby neighbors. The wooded setting offers privacy but is not fully secluded.

Firewood is not provided for the fire pit. Bundles are available locally at grocery stores and gas stations.

The house is located in a community across from Candlewood Lake. The town of New Fairfield has so many great restaurants and shops and great people to make you feel welcome! We are also located near many other neighboring towns that you should also explore.

We have hiked all over the area, so we will be happy to provide you with our favorite nearby hikes, restaurants & other things to do nearby.

Kent, CT (one of our favorite towns) is less than 30 mins away
Also check out the towns of Sherman, Washington, and Litchfield.
The Elephants Trunk Flea Market in New Milford is a MUST! It is open every Sunday (April- early December)
