Velocipede was the historical term for the earliest bicycle; Velocipede Cottage, named to honor the biking and recreation area this community has become. So whether you come to bike, kayak the mine pit lakes, paddle board Serpent Lake, snowshoe, or simply enjoy some relaxation punctuated with great food, great coffee, a local brewery or browsing downtown, Velocipede Cottage welcomes you. The bike storage shed includes a tire pump and the complementary use of a trailer hitch style bike rack for your use during your stay, if you need to transport bikes to the trails.
Velocipede Cottage has been licensed as a vacation rental for a maximum of five guests by the Minnesota Department of Health.
