Fern is one of the two luxurious yurts we offer on our 100 acre organic farm. It is gorgeous, bringing you as close to nature as possible without giving up any of the luxuries in life! 450 sq ft of living in the round, it includes a full ensuite bathroom (in the yurt), and your own private deck, firepit, and barbecue outside. We are 15 minutes away from New Paltz, NY, and mere minutes away from the Shawngunk Mountains in the bucolic Hudson Valley.

The space
The yurts themselves are simply a unique experience - there is something magical about being in this round space, lying in bed looking up at the night sky through the dome above. The property itself is a 100 acre organic farm with a mixture of pasture, hay fields, and woodland. There is a large 2 acre pond for swimming, fishing, or just contemplating the vast amount of wildlife in and around it. Walking paths are regularly cut through sections of the farm.
The property is abuzz with birds and wildlife of all sorts - a great opportunity to immerse yourself in all nature has to offer!

Our yurts are situated in the middle of our 100-acre farm, overlooking the stunning white cliffs of Millbrook Mountain. You have free rein at the farm: hang on your private deck, yard, and firepit, or walk the trails at the farm or swim / fish in the 2-acre pond. We are located in a rural area a stone's throw away from great restaurants close by and in New Paltz. Local distilleries, wineries, and local breweries abound.

I am a hard working mother of 2 lovely children. I teach stage make up at SUNY New Paltz after having worked as a make up artist in New york for film and television. We lived abroad in Tokyo, Japan and London, England, but came back to our beautiful home in the Hudson Valley to raise our children. I love our home as it is a magical place for me and my husband John. Being able to share our space is wonderful.
