THE PENTHOUSE SUITE APARTMENT is in the Golden Isles in the heart of Brunswick’s Historic Old Town District in a 1910 brick carriage house. Feel the Southern Charm as you stroll in this beautiful, quiet neighborhood to view the Victorian homes, palm trees, giant oaks, Lover's Oak, magnolias, gorgeous native flowers & plants & numerous species of birds. Conveniently located between Jekyll, St Simons, & Sea Islands. Just minutes from FLETC & College of Coastal Georgia. Airports: BQK, SAV & JAX..

The space
This is a special property and you are sure to enjoy the quiet beauty of the area. We have two Airbnb spaces in our 1910 restored brick Carriage House. The Penthouse Apartment is on the second floor completely private with it's own entrance and stairway. (On the first floor is the Garden Apartment). The Penthouse Apartment has lovely original hardwood floors throughout and consists of a large Bed/Sitting room with a comfortable queen bed and a cozy settee, original decorative fireplace and a Roku television with Netflix included. Three windows in this room look out onto the grounds. The full kitchen with dining area is well equipped for most any cooking task and it's cheery and bright with windows along one wall. There is coffee, tea and cooking spices and access to fresh herbs in the garden outside for the picking. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Toiletries are included. There is also a hair dryer and iron in the apartment. If you find you have forgotten a necessity don't hesitate to ask, we are happy to help if we can. There is central air and heat as well as ceiling fans.The Carriage House is set back from the main street giving you privacy and quiet. It's perfect for your personal or business stay with plenty of room at the kitchen table to set your laptop. You will find information in the apartment regarding local current events you may want to check out.
Just behind the Carriage House you will find the Yellow Deli where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, bakery teats or a light dinner in a charming setting. Downtown Brunswick is about 7 blocks away and easy walk where you can find restaurants, shops, bars, theater, Mary Ross Park on the waterfront, and much more.

Quiet and beautiful historic neighborhood. Walking to downtown is very doable. There is a bakery/deli right around the corner. Several other restaurants and churches are also within a short walk. You are also within a short walk to the famous "Lover's Oak" tree. Downtown has galleries, many restaurant choices, a theater, shops and night spots. There is a new rum distillery. We provide as much current information in your apartment as we can to help make your stay enjoyable. You are a short 15 minutes to the beaches on Saint Simons Island, Sea Island and Jekyll Island. Just minutes from FLETC and The College of Coastal Georgia. The Brunswick Airport is a few minutes away and it's about an hour to either Savannah or Jacksonville airports.

Jim and I, Shelley, have recently relocated to the Golden Isles in Coastal Brunswick Georgia from the Southern California Mountains where we raised our three daughters. Jim is an artist as well as a master chef. As former restauranteurs in Southern California, we enjoy sharing our appreciation of fine food, music and art with friends and family. We love to travel and will off to Italy or sights unknown at a moments notice.

In Brunswick we have found a wonderful 1910 brick carriage house in the heart of the Historic Old Town District. Our gated property is lush with trees and bushes and sits in the middle of a beautiful block of historic homes.

Our carriage house has a lovely ground floor four room apartment with its own private entrance that we have set up for guests comfort. We also have an upstairs "Penthouse" apartment that is just as charming. We are anxious to share this wonderful property and location with others.

The kitchen is well equipped if you care to cook. Coffee and teas are of course provided as well as some cooking basics. Grocery stores are not far and there is a lovely deli/ bakery just a short walk around the corner.

We are walking distance to the center of town where you will find several restaurants, night spots, theaters, galleries and shopping. Be sure to check out the new local rum distillery. Visit some of the beautiful local historical buildings and squares around town and a must stop is Lover's Oak for a photo opportunity.

We are only a few minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Golden Isles on Saint Simons and Jekyll Island where there are many more restaurants and shops and attractions.

We are a few minutes from FLETC and the Southeast Georgia Health Center.

The area boasts several fine golf courses and biking trails. This is a perfect stopping point if you are traveling from to or from Florida. It's a very easy stop off the 95. We are only an hour from the airports in either Savannah or Jacksonville, and minutes from Brunswick Airport. We hope you will consider staying with us when you visit the beautiful Golden Isles.

We request a minimum 2 night booking however we are flexible during the week or when we have single nights available. Message for specific information.
