This light, airy one-bedroom English basement apartment has its own private entrance. Cable TV, WiFi, washer/dryer and a full kitchen make it easy to make yourself at home. The bedroom features a queen size bed (and the living room is equipped with a pull-out sofa that converts to a standard size bed). We never charge a cleaning fee! The apartment is located below the main house. It is 500 square feet with a ceiling height of 6’ 9”.

The space
Enjoy the living area and bedroom that has new furniture, bed linens and towels. The kitchen offers everything you need, including pots, pans, plates, bowls, glassware, coffee mugs, utensils, Tupperware, and more. There is a microwave and toaster in addition to the gas stove, full-size refrigerator and washer/dryer.
This apartment and neighborhood are great for professionals traveling on business, couples, and single travelers. (If you are a family with up to two kids, please do reach out, we may be able to accommodate you. )The Smithsonian National Zoo and Rock Creek Park are just a 10-minute walk away!

Guests have full access to this private apartment. Guests can also enjoy a private, outdoor side patio connected to the apartment for cocktails, dining al fresco, or simply soaking up the sun!

Two complimentary DC Metro fare cards are provided for your visit. Just top up the balance before you leave and return for the next guest.

A setup of coffee, milk, and water will be provided to get you started on your stay.

The apartment is accessed by steps down to the front door and the kitchen is a galley kitchen. Please keep this in mind regarding your ability to navigate steps and narrower spaces.

While the apartment does not have a parking space, there is a commercial parking garage 1 1/2 blocks away.
