Check out our other listings in Litchfield at More than 2 guests are welcome. Just put 2. 50 miles North of St. Louis; Right off I-55: PET FRIENDLY; FENCED BACK YARD. Located on Old Route 66. There is plenty of room to park a large U-Haul trailer. The house has been tastefully decorated and filled with new and vintage furnishings. Queen memory foam beds. Filled with Route 66 memorabilia. Food and shopping close by. Right off the interstate.

The space
The Route 66 house is over 80 years old. It was built before Route 66 was an attraction. Some of the wood used to build the house was old barn wood of different sizes. Whatever was available post-war. The ceiling is a little under the average 8’ for today’s homes. This was very common for that era. My wife and I remodeled the house and have filled it with new furnishings but have added little touches of Route 66. The dining room table is made out is a steel tire rim and a water meter cover. With a water valve to touch it off. We've added a new modern kitchen and lots of small touches to make you feel at home.
There is NO Cable TV. Wireless internet only with Netflix and Youtube on the TV. There is only 1 bedroom and it has a queen bed with a 12” memory foam mattress. There is a queen sofa sleeper in the family room with a memory foam mattress. It's not the most comfortable but I've never found one that was. The map on your phone app doesn’t pinpoint the address very well. It might show the water tower. We are two houses south of the water tower.

The two of us remodeled and decorated all of our houses in town ourselves. And we aren't carpenters but we had a great time. We hope you feel warm and welcome in our homes.
