Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Come visit the famous and growing Baja California wine country known as Valle de Guadalupe and stay in our super unique custom solar powered eco-friendly earth bag dome home. More than just a room, it's a unique experience.

The space
Our 700 sq. foot dome home (casita) is made from Earth Bags (dirt and plastic bags).

Locally sourced and recycled materials have made this space completely unique. Featuring a cozy unique second-floor bedroom at the top of the dome, spacious 350 sq. foot round living room, work desk, full kitchen and full locally sourced rock bathroom.

Some of the amenities include queen sized bed, locally sourced rock shower, wireless internet and full kitchen with gas range and pantry.

The property also features a community Pizza oven and 2 grills.

We are located in the heart of the wine country. Access to the famous L.A. Cetto winery and the over 100 boutique wineries and restaurants are all within a 20 minute drive of the property.

Come hike the area, explore local wineries, visit our local restaurants or just chill out and digital detox.

So stay for a weekend or a week and make Hacienda Eco-Domes your base camp with everything you need to recharge and relax.

Guest access
Our property is wide open for guests. The dome is a separate building completely independent of the main house offering guests privacy.

Other things to note
Come feed the chickens! Our property is home to friendly naturally fed chickens. Guests are welcome to join us in picking fresh eggs in the morning.

Fresh Veggies! We also have lovely gardens where our guests are welcome to pick herbs or vegetables to make fresh home cooked meals.

Water is King in the Desert! Water use in the desert is precious so we ask our guests to monitor excessive water usage. Our solar powered domes feature fresh water that is then sent to bio-sand filters and re-used to feed our non-edible plants. In other words, we reclaim, clean and recycle the grey and black water for NON-HUMAN purposes. Oh, we also harvest all the rain water during our wet season; Dec - Mar.

Spring and Fall Climate:
Our weather is usually perfect during this time of year. Temps hover around 70 F during this time. No need for heat or fans.

Summer and Winter Climate:
At the very hottest time of year; usually July, August and September, the outside temperatures sometimes can get over 100 F and since we're only 15 minutes from the ocean, the air can also get a little humid. Inside the domes, the air is much cooler due to the outstanding insulating properties of mother earth. It can be about 75 F in the domes when the outside is 105F. Nevertheless, we do offer space fans to keep the air flowing. It just makes the space super comfortable during these extreme temperature days.

For winters months; December, January and February, the temperatures, at night, can get below freezing, Inside the domes, during these times, the temperature will be about 55-60 F, so we offer space heaters for those that like to keep it more cozy.

We also have (2) outdoor friendly dogs. Upon request, we can place the dogs in our spacious kennel during your stay. Just let us know.

The dome is non-smoking
No pets allowed in the domes

We hope you will join us in the wonderful Valle de Guadalupe for your upcoming vacation!

Location

Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico

We are in the heart of the Baja Wine Country. We have over 100 wineries within 20 minutes from the property with many just down the main road.

This is desert country living. Our dirt roads are a bit bumpy and dusty so, if traveling by car, bring something you don't mind getting dirty. Try to not to bring a low profile car. It makes the driving around the wine country roads slower and less enjoyable. Brings something like a SUV or CrossOver car with a higher clearance profile; much better.
