Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Steeped in nature, the gazebo provides a get away into nature, with its double bed and intimate sized room this is a wonderful space for 2 to be immersed in a peaceful environment.
Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had!
The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

The space
The gazebo is surrounded by trees giving everything a dappled green light. Sit on the deck and listen to the wind in the trees as you watch the birds darting from branch to branch. Wake to the sound of the birds singing or the goats playing in the nearby pasture. It’s such a peaceful place!
We love nature and animals and that’s reflected here.
We’ve added a fire pit on the gazebo deck for you to enjoy as well. Also there is a nice new bike path right in front of the house that will take you all the way into town and the beach!
The farm is always growing, we have goats, chickens, dogs, and heaps of cuddly kittens! And hoping to add sheep this summer.
a compostable toliet is located nearby behind the garden (this is shared with other guests as well) and it’s just a 1minute walk to the main house, where there is a full bathroom (shower anyone?) you can use between 9am-9pm. Also the gazebo is not for children. with it’s high decks we don’t feel it’s safe for kids. If you have children look into renting our guest house!

Guest access
For the bathroom: the shared compostable toilet is quite close by, located behind the garden. If you’d like to shower, you may use the bathroom in the main house between 9am-9pm. The main house is conveniently close to the guest house.

You’re welcome to walk the woods, the yard, and pet the farm animals to your hearts content (just please don’t go through any animal pen gates).
Note: we do have dogs, a german shepherd, he LOVES people and may try to lick you to death when you arrive, and a pug puppy who hasn’t decided if he barks at people yet :)

Other things to note
When you arrive park anywhere in the driveway and head to the back of the house to scope out the bathroom which is just inside the back door. If we’re home we’ll hear ya and totally introduce ourselves!
Otherwise just walk to the RED BARN and go LEFT down the path (along the pasture fence) and you’ll be lead to the gazebo. The keys are just inside the gazebo on the counter.

NOTE:
We do have a dog, our German Shepherd may try to lick you to death.
Also the gazebo’s door does has a screen. At the top of the glass you'll see a latch, you simply squeeze to release its hold and lower the glass to reveal the screen.

Neighborhood highlights

Apart from green acres just 2 miles down the street is connors bayou. It’s a beautiful nature park. There is fishing off the dock, trails to walk or bike, and another location to launch kayaks into the Grand River.
It’s amazingly beautiful and fun to explore nature there.
Potawatomi park is our family’s personal favorite. This park has play sets and swimming / fishing area right on the bayou. You can even launch your kayak or paddle boards here too. They have grills to cook out as well.

And of course LAKE MICHIGAN! Grand haven’s state park is less than 15minutes away. With a cute downtown area and a river walk and pier with lighthouse and beach all together, it’s quite the hit! Grand Haven has a lot to offer!
Washington st is grand haven main strip lots and has lots of boutique shops and eateries. BEST COFFEE IS ALDEA (found on the main st).
