Lovely neighbourhood. It used to be a working class district populated with a mix of Irish immigrants and French Canadians however it is now quite cosmopolitan. Recently the area has become more and more gentrified.Very conveniently located,it is a stone throw from the heart of downtown Montreal but offers a very quaint atmosphere with the Canal, the proximity to the St-Lawrence River, the Atwater Market, etc.
By car, 10 minutes from Champlain and Victoria Bridge. You can park the car in the driveway.
Public transportation is very convenient with a subway station only 10 minutes walk from the studio or 5 minutes to a bus stop that takes you right to downtown Montreal.

I can't recommend Lucie's loft enough! Not only is it a fantastic location - close to metro, bike path, restaurants and a wonderful market - Lucie was such a thoughtful, warm host. We arrived to a baguette, croissants and beverages in the fridge! The loft is filled with maps and Lucie is a treasure trove of information about Montreal and where to go and how to get there. The bikes were a total bonus. I can't wait to visit again! Thanks so much, Lucie!!
Lucie's studio was awesome! I'd heard of AirB&B but I was using it for the first time for my first trip to Canada with my Mom. Needless to say, the stakes were high. However, we could not have had a better experience! Lucie was patient and very accommodating. The studio was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood amidst a lovely garden with a nice view of other neat little enclaves. The heritage house is also a conveniently located within 1 km of the Atwater Market, the canal, and two grocery stores. We strongly recommend this site to anyone visiting Montreal. Lucie rocks!
Lucie made my boyfriend feel so very welcome. We arrived later than expected due to a delay at the Canadian/American border on the Amtrak train. She was happy to greet us, regardless. She showed us the space and provided us with some bruschette, cheese, beers, and left us some croissant for the morning. The bikes were a perfect way to get around the city. We were able to explore all of Montreal in a day. She gave us wonderful advice on where to spend one evening out for a nice dinner. The room was quaint, charming, comfortable, and clean. I was so impressed with Lucie and her air BnB that I wish I could have stayed much longer!
Lucie is awesome! She is extremely sweet and very helpful. The first day we arrived she provided us with a delightful snack and also went over a couple places that are nice to visit. Lucie provided great directions and even prepared two bikes for us to take into town. Her studio is very cute and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet and a quick walk to the metro. We would love to stay at Lucie's place again one day!
Lucie made us feel very welcome. She sat with us and reviewed the metro system and various areas to visit on the map. After many hours of travel the fresh croissants were welcome. She also left a flavored bagette, milk, yogurt and other items in the fridge.
the studio was exactly as described. It was very comfortable for two people. Very clean.
It's about a 10 minute walk to the metro.
Ficamos super a vontade!
