Welcome to your private forest oasis! Chic & cozy garden studio invites you to relax & take it easy. Peaceful property borders forest w/tall cedar trees. Unwind on your private deck w/fire bowl, sunsets, stars & birdsongs. Well stocked kitchen. Loft w/comfy Queen bed, private bath, French doors to deck, lovely garden & hammock.

Experience the Pacific Northwest! Minutes drive to hiking & beaches. Seasonal berries & apples. A scenic stop between Olympic National Forest & Seattle.

The space
The studio sits at the corner of our one acre property (about 50 feet from our house) & borders a forested lot, maximizing your privacy. The deck has a privacy wall so you feel like you’re surrounded by trees & can’t see our house.

Peaceful, secluded setting on a lovely cul-de-sac. Barbecue on the patio or make s'mores in the outdoor propane fire bowl while enjoying some fantastic star gazing! Deck has two Adirondack chairs, an electric grill & bistro table with seating for two.

The studio has multiple electric heaters to keep you cozy in winter, and a seasonally available window A/C unit for cooling in summer.

Guest access
The entire studio is yours to enjoy! Guests have their own private *mostly* fenced yard surrounding the studio, and a private driveway separate from the main house driveway.

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS LISTING!

As of December 2022, we no longer have the chickens & ducks that you may see mentioned in some reviews.

We have added a dehumidifier to address any dampness in the studio. Please empty it once a day if desired to help keep moisture levels down.

The queen bed is accessed by a sturdy ladder to the loft. The ceiling in the loft area is high enough to sit up in bed. Towards the foot of the bed is a low, sloped ceiling which requires stooping down to access. If this poses any problem for you, please do not book this space.

The black loveseat is NOT big enough to sleep on. Guests should plan to share the queen bed in the loft, or you may request use of a folding twin floor mattress with bedding to set up in the living room area for an extra fee of $25.

The private toilet is accessed via an exterior door right next to the front door of the studio. (Look at the pictures - it's the orange door.) You must step outside briefly to get to the bathroom. There is no door from the main living area to the bathroom. The walkway is covered but can still get wet during heavy rains.

We recommend bringing a pair of slippers or sandals. When accessing the bathroom you must step out on the deck which may be wet, so slippers or sandals are a good idea depending on the season. The interior floor can get cold in the winter so we recommend slippers or thick socks.

The ceiling in the living room is high enough to allow a 6-foot tall person to walk under without ducking. If you are taller than 6-feet, you will have to watch your head in that area.

The studio is 200 square feet plus the square footage of the loft, which is approximately 70 square feet.

There is no automatic dishwasher. Dishes are handwashed in the large utility sink that is shared with the kitchen and shower room.

There are no on-site laundry facilities for guests. We can provide additional clean towels & bedding for longer stays. (Please request.) If you need your personal laundry done during your stay, we can do it for you for an additional charge of $25 per load. (We will wash, dry & fold a large load for that price.) Must be arranged in advance and allow a 24 hour turnaround time. There are also a few drop-off laundry spots or coin operated laundromats within a 30 minute drive.

Please DO NOT cook strong smelling foods in the kitchen. Salmon is the worst! Everything in the tiny house will smell like it for weeks. We provide an electric grill outside that you can use instead of the stove. Please close windows & doors when grilling outside.

We try to be eco friendly and therefore we do not provide paper towels. We provide plenty of cleaning cloths and reusable cloth towels (“paperless” paper towels.)

The number of guests in the reservation is the maximum number of guests allowed on the property at any time, not just overnight. No additional guests are allowed on the property without prior approval.

Our property is located on a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by tall cedars. Seasonal fresh berry picking right on the property (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries.)

3 minute drive to the Purdy Sand Spit beach (a local favorite) or to an easy and fun hike at Key Pen 360 Park.

Waterfront Italian restaurant Massimo is a few minutes away & has a beautiful view of Henderson Bay. The local Purdy taco truck is quite popular & has a view of the water. Take out Thai is close by at Easy Thai, Easy Go.

Nearby are a few espresso stands (the one by the Chevron has the best Chai Latte!) Burger King, Seabeck Pizza, Sweet Janes pot shop, Jimmy’s 94th Ave Pub, and a medium size Food Market.

10-15 minutes from shopping including Target, Costco, Albertsons, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Kohls, Galaxy Theatres and lots of interesting shops & restaurants at Uptown or Downtown by the water.
