Our guest house was built brand new in 2018. It is clean (read the reviews!), quiet, very private and a perfectly appointed place to call "home" while visiting in Portland. All the ameninities to make your stay easy - full kitchen, compact washer/dryer and air-conditioning. Lots of natural light from 3 large skylights - sleep masks provided for late sleepers. The location has easy access to freeways, PDX airport (15 min.), and bike ways. Self check-in and free street parking always available.

The space
Our modern, private guest house is located in Northeast Portland. The tall, cathedral ceilings give the space a very loft-like feel and allows for great light to fill every corner. This open concept also makes our 463 square foot house feel and live much larger. The 100+ yr old barn door gives privacy and separation to the bedroom and bath area, when needed, while adding warmth and character to the space. The comfortable queen bed is dressed with cotton linens and lots of pillows and the bedroom also boasts good closet and storage space. The full kitchen is stocked with most everything you need for making simple meals. Enjoy your morning coffee and meals at a small dining table while looking outside into your own private patio space. The bathroom offers ample room with a large vanity with space for all your things and a walk in shower with beautiful tile and a glass door. A compact washer & dryer, along with laundry detergent is located in the bathroom for guest use. The living area has a small sofa and chair, along with a Smart TV, local magazines, games, and more. Washable slippers, umbrellas, refillable growler, full length mirror, full size refrigerator and a dishwasher are just a few of the other great amenities offered. Coffee, tea and sugar are provided for all guests, as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The outdoor patio and courtyard space is for exclusive guest use only. It is NOT FULLY FENCED if you are bringing a dog. Please see our "House Rules" for more information on bringing pets and the additional fees charged. **The path to the guest house is a rock path so wheeling suitcases in is difficult.** And we are a NO SMOKING rental always.

Guest access
The guest house is yours to enjoy with your own private entrance! It's located up a couple of steps and a rock pathway from the street. The guest house is one-level so no stairs or steps once inside. We live on a Neighborhood Greenway aka Bike Path so please be aware of cyclists on the street when coming and going. All are welcome, just please be respectful and courteous to our space and neighbors.

Other things to note
We have a dog named Marley and you may see or hear her while she is outside. We have a fence that separates our outdoor areas and she's super friendly and a big, lovebug so no need to be scared. She's mostly an indoor, city dog but if she happens to be outside while you are coming or going she will most likely bark at you. Saying her name sometimes helps and it's usually short-lived. Dogs are welcome but the front entrance to the guest house patio is not fully fenced. NO SMOKING of any kind inside the guest house. Smoking is permitted in the outside patio area.

Neighborhood highlights

We are located in a residential neighborhood in Northeast Portland. Not nearly as close to the freeway as depicted in the location photo! We are closest to the Hollywood, Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor and Rose City neighborhoods with very easy access to freeways and major streets like Burnside and Sandy Blvd. Max train stations are close by as well. Several grocery stores less than 5 minutes away - by car. Restaurants, a brewery with food carts and coffee just blocks away. A quick 5-15 minute drive to most of the hottest neighborhoods on the east side like Hawthorne Street, Division/Clinton, Mt. Tabor, Alberta, Montavilla and Laurelhurst. Easy access to downtown and convention centers. Providence Portland Medical Center is just a couple blocks away as well.
