Our Backyard Bungalow is 3 years new, super clean, very private and quiet, and a great place to relax and call "home" while visiting in NE Portland. Hi-Speed internet for working remotely as well. Everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen, compact washer/dryer and air-conditioning. Lots of natural light from 3 large skylights - sleep masks provided. The location has easy access to freeways, PDX airport (12 min.), and bike ways. Self check-in and free street parking always available.

The space
Built in 2018! Our modern, private guest house is located in Northeast Portland. The tall, cathedral ceilings give the space a very loft-like feel and allows for great light to fill every corner. This open concept also makes our 463 square foot house feel and live much larger. The 100+ yr old barn door gives privacy and separation to the bedroom and bath area, when needed, while adding warmth and character to the space. The comfortable queen bed is dressed with cotton linens and lots of pillows and the bedroom also boasts good closet and storage space. The full kitchen is stocked with most everything you need for making simple meals. Enjoy your morning coffee and meals at a small dining table while looking outside into your own private patio space. The bathroom offers ample space with a large vanity with space for all your things and a walk in shower with beautiful tile and a glass door. A compact washer & dryer, along with laundry detergent is located in the bathroom for guest use. The living area has a small sofa and chair, along with a Smart TV, local magazines, games, and more. Washable slippers, umbrellas, refillable growler, full length mirror, full size refrigerator and a dishwasher are just a few of the other great amenities offered. Coffee, tea and sugar are provided for all guests, as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The outdoor patio and courtyard space is for exclusive guest use only. It is NOT FULLY FENCED if you are bringing a dog. Please see our "House Rules" for more information on bringing pets and the additional fees charged. **The skylights do not have shades so if you like to sleep in, our guest house may not be for you in the summer months, or bring a sleep mask. Only 1 complaint ever but I wanted to mention it**

Where you’ll be

Portland, Oregon, United States

We are located in a residential neighborhood in Northeast Portland. Not nearly as close to the freeway as depicted in the location photo! We are closest to the Hollywood, Laurelhurst, Mt. Tabor and Rose City neighborhoods with very easy access to freeways and major streets like Burnside and Sandy Blvd. Max train stations are close by as well. Several grocery stores less than 5 minutes away - by car. Restaurants, a brewery with food carts and coffee just blocks away. A quick 5-15 minute drive to most of the hottest neighborhoods on the east side like Hawthorne Street, Division/Clinton, Mt. Tabor, Alberta, Montavilla and Laurelhurst. Easy access to downtown and convention centers. Providence Portland Medical Center is just a couple blocks away as well.

Hi! I'm a native Oregonian and I was born and raised in southern Oregon on the coast. I have lived in Portland for the past 20+ years working and raising 2 daughters. Living in the PNW affords so many opportunities to experience life at it's fullest. Some of my favorites are shopping the small, local districts in Portland, finding delicious food at every turn, and as often as possible heading out to the wineries to see what's new or driving up the Columbia River Gorge to hike or bask in it's beautiful terrain. I'm also a Real Estate Broker, Licensed in Oregon and love that job too. If you're planning a move to Portland or the surrounding areas and need help, feel free to reach out.

We've found that most guests are looking for privacy and that meeting their hosts is not a top priority while staying. Please know that we are always available by phone, text or Airbnb messaging should you need anything though. We are just next door! And, if we cross paths during your stay, we look forward to saying hello. We are also happy to give recommendations for restaurants and local must-see’s or answer any questions you might have.
