Comfy & cosy, lovely views of the estuary, and super-friendly and helpful hosts in Gordon and Caroline. For MTB'ers there is great natural riding from the front door (Pont Scethin loop), plus easy and mostly traffic-free access into the back of the Coed-Y-Brenin trails.

Response from Gordon:
Jim, it was very good to meet you all and I agree the area has fantastic cycling to offer but I must say I prefer the Mawddach Trail which is just on the other side of the estuary because it is a very beautiful ride from Dolgellau to Barmouth and more importantly it is beautifully flat! Hope to see you again. Best wishes Gordon

Hi Lydia and Pete it was great to meet you and your lovely family and we were so glad you had a good time in the cottage. I am pleased you all had fun down at the estuary and that the boys enjoyed playing football in the field. Thank you for being so communicative and easy to deal with when making the arrangements. I am still amazed that you managed to arrange that food delivery from Asda! It was a pleasure having you to stay in our cottage and you left it in a perfect condition. Thank you. We would be pleased to have you back and would readily recommend you to future hosts. Gordon

David and Sue it was a pleasure to meet you both and your lovely mum, Megan. We enjoyed having you to stay. We are so pleased you liked the cottage and the location. Every morning we wake up and look out of the windows and see the spectacular views we find it hard to believe how fortunate we are to live here. I'm so glad you were able to rediscover many of your childhood holiday haunts and enjoy some of the many attractions the area has to offer. Best wishes, Gordon and Caroline

White Horses Cottage is a lovely place with a great view on the estuary in a beautiful, reasonably quiet part of Snowdonia National Parc. We made a couple of great walks both in the area of the Cader Idris mountain (you also climb the ponytrack al the way up) as along the estuar…

Thank you Hans for your kind words. We recognise that a holiday is a special time for all the family and we certainly do our best to make sure that all our guests are relaxed and have a good time and we are pleased you enjoyed the cottage and found plenty of things to do in the area. Hans, we very much enjoyed having you and Hedwig and Sara and Sofie to stay in our cottage. You were super guests and great company and we enjoyed our time when we all went for a walk on the estuary. Hedwig, I was very pleased that we saw the fish leaping out of the water in one of the tidal ponds and Alexander and I are looking forward to seeing if we can find that amazing patch of sand you found when we go for our next walk. I never cease to be amazed that there is always something new happening on the estuary. Yesterday we saw cattle crossing the river and one cow started running which set up a slow motion 'stampede'. It was a wonderful sight to see and somehow the calves managed very well despite the depth of the water. It would be great to see you all again. Gordon, Caroline and family
