Centrally located in 20 miles of scenic coastline, this 5-star cottage was designed for 2. Relax by night in the super-king bed, explore the sights by day. It's a perfect base for trips to Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, the Dark Hedges, Old Bushmills Distillery, and famous local golf courses. A day trip to Rathlin Island is also within easy reach, and Belfast is just an hour away. No car? No problem. We are on the bus route! Need to work? We've a separate space with desk and WIFI.

The space
This cottage has been in the family since the early 1900's. John's father and his four aunts were raised in this small home. It has gone through many renovations over its lifetime, while being the busy hub of a working farm for many years. Guests were always welcome at the door, and a cup of tea and a fresh pancake or soda scone brightened the day of many a traveler.

Guest access
You have the whole house to yourselves. A fenced garden and a lighted parking space for one car are at the front of the home. A separate space with desk and free Wifi are provided.

Other things to note
From the footpath at the entrance, there is one small step up into the porch, and inside, there is one small step from the living room into the ensuite bedroom. In the bathroom, there is a rain-shower over the tub.

Neighborhood highlights

The cottage is in an area locally know as Tonduff Clachan. A clachan is a group of family homes and farms in the country. You will be located a mile from the water in three directions. East and west, you have access to port villages and beaches. North of the cottage, the headlands rise up, and can only be accessed by walking along the cliff path. This provides stunning views, and in my book is a must see. The coastline is dotted with many crescent-shaped "ports," of which many can be accessed by car.

My husband John grew up 1-mile from the Giant's Causeway, and was always delighted to introduce the beautiful North Antrim Coast to visitors. Soon after we met, I came to love him and this place, as well. I now live in the United States, near our grown children, and return to Northern Ireland as often as possible. It's a joy to continue the legacy of extending hospitality to travelers.
