This 5-star cottage is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or just being together on your own. Walk the scenic coastal paths by day; relax by night in a cottage designed for just the two of you. Or use Ruby Stove Cottage as a home base for trips to Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, the Dark Hedges, the Old Bushmills Distillery, and local golf courses. A day trip to Rathlin Island is also within easy reach.

The space
This cottage has been in the family since the early 1900's. John's father and his four sisters were raised in this small home. It has gone through many renovations over its lifetime, while being the busy hub of a working farm for many years. Guests were always welcome at the door, and a cup of tea and a fresh pancake or soda scone brightened the day of many a traveler.

Where you’ll be

Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

The cottage is in an area locally know as Tonduff Clachan. A clachan is a group of family homes in the country. You will be located a mile from the water in three directions. East and west, you have access to port villages and beaches. North of the cottage, the headlands rise up, and can only be accessed by walking along the cliff path. This provides stunning views, and in my book is a must see. The coastline is dotted with many crescent-shaped "ports," of which many can be accessed by car.

My husband John grew up 1-mile from the Giant's Causeway, and was always delighted to introduce the beautiful North Antrim Coast to visitors. Soon after we met, I came to love him and this place, as well. I now live in the United States, near our grown children, and return to Northern Ireland as often as possible. It's a joy to continue the legacy of extending hospitality to travelers.

During your stay

Although I will not be there in person, our housekeeper and family live in the area and are ready to help, if needed. You will find their contact information in the cottage upon arrival. I am also just a phone call or message away.
