"MINE-no-Yado" Mine own house is a small Japanese style cottage in Mine village where includes Takijiri-oji, the entrance to the sacred mountains of Kumano.
The house is at an elevation of 300m.
You can enjoy a panoramic view of Kumano mountains, a wonderful starry night and even sea of clouds.

The space
This is newly -built house in March 2018.
The floor space is about 67 square meters and the deck space is about 26 square meters.
580 kgs of charcoal was buried in the ground to keep the living environment healthy.
The one-story building has a Japanese-style guest room, a sitting room, bath, toilet and full kitchen.

No TV. (as of Nov. 2021)

You can use all facilities except for loft area.

Other things to note
There is a small shrine, Bishamon-san, next to the house and some people may come to pray. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

No meals are served, but there is a grocery store a 5-minute ride away.
The owner can shuttles guests to the store.

Sometimes the water doesn't come out very well because the house is on top of the mountain.

There are so many bags and small animals around here, especially in summer.
Don’t get close to dangerous creature like Japanese Pit Viper, Mukade Centipede, Asian Giant Hornet etc.

Small ants or spiders may come out in the house.

In the night, deer and wild boar are often on the prowl around here.

In winter(Dec.-Feb.), you can use firewood stove to stay warm.
Regarding the firewood, you need to buy it from us.
