In our family for the last five decades, this homey Lakeshore cottage is prepped and ready to host newcomers to give them a taste of our Keweenaw Peninsula paradise.

Enjoy a private beach with bonfire ring, recently renovated deck with furnishings, fully equipped kitchen and three bedrooms (with newer King, Queen & Twin beds).

Centrally located between Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor, each just a short drive away.

The space
With little else around, there's nearly zero light-pollution making this an excellent "Dark Sky" destination. Enjoy exploring the night with our Telescope 80mm Aperture 600mm -- which also makes for a great tool to check out the freighters, bald eagles, loons and kayakers passing by, too.

As for the cottage itself, take a wee step back in time... to well preserved groovy shag carpeting, olive colored appliances and an original bold red sink in a recently remodeled bathroom. This cottage has a character destined to win your heart!

Chill-lax and lounge outside on the beautiful new deck with a full dining area, just a stone's throw away from the awe-inspiring Lake Superior. Play a lively round of croquet, cornhole or badminton! Or perhaps simply throwing some stones into the Big Lake is more up your ally, which you can do from the cottage's private shoreline -- roast some marshmallows over a beach bonfire, too!

Inside, sink into the sofa and gaze out the pictured window at the spectacular sun setting over the finger bays just across the harbor. Gather round the family sized dining table for a home cooked feast (plus, there's a grill, too!).

Ready to adventure? Jump in the car for a quick 8-mile ride to the destination adventure town of Copper Harbor --internationally renown mountain biking, hiking galore, mini-golfing, restaurants, bars, a micro-brewery, bakery, gift shops and artisan galleries.

TRULY disconnect from your go-go-go, as there is no cell reception here (though, you may choose whether or not to hook up to wifi-calling). We also have an old-fashion land-line!

Cell phone service should be available 6-miles south in Eagle Harbor and 7-miles on top of Brockway Mountain Drive. 8-miles north in Copper Harbor there is no cell service, yet there is a 24/7 EMERGENCY PHONE outside, on the eastside of the Copper Harbor Welcome Center (on the corner of US 41 and 2nd Street).

PLEASE READ "WELCOME LETTER & HOUSE MANUAL" UPON ARRIVAL, which are posted on the kitchen cabinets.
