The space
This well-appointed space is an open concept room encompassing a living room, bedroom, and well-stocked kitchen. Comfortable furnishings include an upholstered queen bed, lush sofa and chair, and many more comforts. Its spacious and well-stocked bathroom offers a shower enclosure with lovely soft water, in-ceiling heater, and many convenient toiletries.

1 step exists in this unit leading to the bathroom. We have built-in lighting to illuminate the step.

Guest access
Parking is located in the parking lot and garage behind the house. Please be careful not to take up more than one parking space (there are 5 in total) or block in other vehicles. If guests have more than one vehicle, please park behind one another, especially if parked in the garage.

The main entrance is located inside of the patio area on the east side of house.

If you incorrectly input the code, press the reset button to try again. The reset button also lights up the keypad. Since the doors will re-lock, automatically, be sure to have the code with you when exiting the building to avoid getting locked out.

Pets:
~Pets are welcome, maximum 2, dogs only, $20/pet/night.

~During the reservation process, guests need to indicate the number of pets.

~Pets are not allowed on the furnishings.

~Barking is strictly prohibited and crates are encouraged to prevent damage while away.

Two-night minimum stay applies to reservations that include a Friday or Saturday. Exceptions are considered. Please send an invite to book a 1 night stay if it is desired.

In 1996, at the age of 25, Kara purchased her first property, a historic, multi-family home near Downtown Kalamazoo. Not knowing or even imagining what would come of it, Kara set out on an adventure. The home needed lots of love. Although she had no prior experience in this area, she took the role of steward very seriously and set out to do her best. Time spent pouring over the home quickly led to a new found passion for painting, restoration and even interior design. Through this, Kara was able to renovate and restore her first home while also building a business to extend the same service to others. 15 years later in 2011, her now thoughtfully renovated, historic beauty shows its appreciation and Kara's Kottages was born.
