Hello :)

Important info: There is no running water- we have an incinerating toilet that is in the cabin, please follow instructions closely - ash has to be emptied once a day. Guests need to bring their own firewood or purchase firewood that is at the cabin for $1/piece. Fire-starters are helpful to bring. Please message me after your stay with how much wood you used. For winter the fire takes 3 pieces of wood every 3 to 4 hours and must be kept going to keep warm.

The space
Welcome to our shabby-chic hand built cabin! Enjoy a secluded stay on 10 acres of land in the Catskill mountains. A serene pond, simplicity and tranquility await you.

Great spot for solo travelers looking for a meditation or writing getaway, couples, and small families.

Although the cabin does have electricity, this is truly an off the grid experience. No cell service, running water (bring your own drinking and dishwashing water), or heat (other than the wood stove) you'll have an opportunity to be disconnected, and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, and experience the novelty of an outhouse if you choose, we also have an incinerating toilet inside. For entertainment - there is large screen projector with DVD collection, games and toys for kids and adults.

Enjoy the glow and warmth of the wood stove in the winters, wildflowers in the Spring, Summer swimming in the pond, blueberry bushes are ripe around July/August and fall brings stunning foliage and apple picking in the yard. Buy local farm fresh food from nearby vendors, (east brook community farm) and cook over the campfire.

The open layout with loft offers two queen beds (one upstairs, one down), and the space for a couple air mattresses (byom). Also the blue chairs in the loft unfold to become cot like beds - good for kids.

For those that want to work in a peaceful spot there is strong WiFi and a dedicated workspace. I've also added an extensive book collection for those drawn to psychology :)

If you are looking for a space that accommodates more guests and offers a flush toilet and hot shower, check out listings - "Catskills cozy studio" and "Catskills family suit"
