Vintage Casita: Steps Away from Historic Ybor City
100 year old building transitioned into an upcycling lovers dream. Located in North Ybor on the grounds of a historic warehouse storefront. The grounds are home to Stained Market Place a family owned vintage, diy, and salvage market open daily. A quirky, old, rustic building, nestled within the market transitioned with vintage and upcycled treasures picked from our picking adventures. Do not book if you do not like city environments.

The space
Casita/Property Information:
Property History…
The main building “Stained Market Place” was created 10 years ago when our youngest daughter was diagnosed with Autism. We wanted to give her an opportunity to have something of her own when she was old enough that she would enjoy doing. Little did we know that she now will likely go on to be President one day:)! My husband thought I was crazy for grabbing up these abandoned buildings in the middle of an area that hadn’t yet been given the historical rehab nod to many newcomers in the Bay Area. Here we are 10 years later and the amazing rate at which Historic Ybor is being restored and recognized is truly great for this History architectural nut.
Stained Market Place is filled daily with treasures from our travels all over the country and beyond. We love curating, upcycling, and saving old treasures. We love passing on our finds to our clients and community in our historic warehouse storefront. The warehouse was a mechanic shop from 1912-1968 owned by Italian immigrants and sat empty until we grabbed it up.
Vintage Casita Information:
The casita was a wash n’ fold business dating back over 100 years and owned by a Cuban family for nearly 60 years. We chose to keep it simple when planning to share this building with guests to the area. We change the decor layout to the casita almost monthly. We like to rotate out our newest upcycling ideas and share treasures. The Casita is one small building all to yourself.
