Sister Casita - Revive, Ski, Dream!
This one bedroom-one bath home is the warm and cozy, north facing half of a two family adobe. Casita Rio is right next door to Sister Casita, rent one or both depending on the size of your group!
It features tile flooring, TWO beautiful fireplaces and rustic vigas. The kitchen is fully equipped and features Mexican tile and modern appliances. Fun colors and art work make Sister Casita feel like you've come home to heaven. Also included is a washer and dryer.
Enjoy the outdoors from the beautiful wooden deck overlooking a fruit tree laden fenced yard. Three huge apple trees grace the drive way there is a huge horse pasture and the Rio Pueblo just across the road. Cool dogs always welcome!
Located one mile north of Taos Plaza and the Historic District this charming home is within walking distance of in-town shopping, Cid's Natural Foods Market, and many fine restaurants...including our favorite, The Love Apple, right across the street!
I am an airbnb SUPERHOST (that's really groovy)!

See you soon aqui en Taos!
We had a wonderful time. Everyone in our party felt the location was very quaint and very New Mexican. Jessica contacted me before our stay and while we were at the location to make sure everything was going well. The casita was clean and things were easy to find. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking pots and pans, and utensils. We made use of the toaster oven and microwave. The Love Apple restaurant was within walking distance and definitely worth the visit. We were able to go to the Alsup's down the street to buy wood, and we had lovely fires at night which added to the atmosphere. We will definitely go back to Sister Special when we are in Taos again.
Great location in Taos. It wasn't easy to find (no visible street number). We couldn't find the key (it wasn't where it was supposed to be) and had a little trouble getting help with that (the owner was traveling) but it all worked out (second owner helped find it). The Sister Casita is very solid and quiet inside, great for sleeping, even though close to a car wash and the main road. It was generally clean, and felt slightly neglected. We're experienced with fireplaces but the fireplace smoked up the place the first night due to strong winds, so we didn't try to have a fire during our stay. The fireplace in the bedroom does not work. The shower is very good- and, we were glad we brought soap with us. The towels were fantastic.
We loved Sister Casita! Everything was exactly as pictured and very close to town. When the toilet got clogged the first morning we were there, we called Jessica and someone arrived within an hour to take care of it. He also delivered firewood and we enjoyed a blazing fire every night of our stay. Would definitely rent from Jessica again.
We found the property somewhat overrated. It has seen a lot of use. It could definitely use a facelift. Two fireplaces and neither one (website hidden) did not work. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable.
Lovely place to stay. My husband and I were visiting Taos mainly for the hiking. The location is walking distance to the Love Apple and a few streets away from the Taos Diner which has a great breakfast. I liked the layout of the house, the fact that it had a king bed, and a washer and dryer. Only downside was that the driveway floods when it rains, which led to very muddy shoes.
Wonderful, convenient location near everything we hoped to do in Taos. And great casitas. Very comfy, clean, had everything we needed. My first airb&b experience, never before been to Taos and it all went perfectly. Plus loved dinner at the Love Apple, thanks so much!
loved it-- it was cutely decorated, with a nice loft and charming round window. it felt very authentic to new mexico. it was nice to be able to cook breakfasts in the kitchen in the morning. we hiked at rio grande gorge state park, and also around ghost ranch. we never met jessica, but everything about the checkin and stay with smoothly.
What a great place!!! We booked a few days during the Taos Solar festival. It was a very comfortable place to return to after hiking the gorge and then seeing a concert. It was clean and had plenty of space. We walked to town rather than drive and found it perfectly fine to leave the car behind! I will definitely stay here again!
Jessica has a great place in Taos! We were able to walk to the bus pick up for the ski resort and I got a great message at essential Massage around the corner. Alanda was her name and she was great! One of the high-lights was diner at the Love Apple. It's must and right across the street. The home was clean and cozy and Jessica was a great host. We will be back!
Very nice little place, enjoyed a fire in the beehive fireplace on cold Taos nights! The kitchen was well-appointed, we cooked our meals there and didn't need anything additional in terms of pots and pans, potato peelers, etc. A nice surprise was that there was also internet. We were short on towels and firewood, but called Jessica and someone showed up within the hour with both things. We really appreciated having a nice place to stay in Taos. Thanks, Jessica!
