The hosts Ben and Linda were wonderfully welcoming and incredible, they even lent us money when we temporarily lost our credit cards! The unit was fantastic, with stunning views of the country from their beautiful gazebo overlooking the pond. It is comfortable with warm bedding, nice big sofa and great views of the mountains around the property. We loved the location of the property which is just 10 minutes out of town but feels like you are right in the country with Canadian Geese and the other local birds landing around the pond and gazebo and being able to listen to the frogs. Great place and very reasonably priced for those staying in beautiful Ashland.
Ben and Linda were great. They were very accommodating with my arrival time and made the process very easy. They are wonderful hosts who have thought through the details of making your stay in Ashland an enjoyable one. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable and are made complete with a touch of hospitality including recommendations of things to do, books to read, snacks and a beautiful view of the mountains.
Ben and Linda's room is quiet, clean and inviting. Our hosts were most gracious and helpful, we highly recommend this place and would stay here again.
Ben and Linda were so welcoming, they greeted my husband and I warmly when we arrived and welcomed us into their home. Ben, Linda and their daughter listened to our reason for visiting Ashland and gave us tons of useful advice and places to visit. They are true ambassadors for the city of Ashland and the surrounding area - as is their dog Nelson! We missed our own dog so it was great having such a well behaved and sweet dog around.
The accommodations were fantastic - we couldn't have asked for more. The cottage is separate from the house but just a short way, we felt our hosts were accessible if we needed anything. The view is amazing and the grounds and pond were so pretty. The bnb is located just at the edge of town so it's easy and convenient but feels open. The bed was super comfortable, especially the cozy fleece sheets. Great shower, mini fridge, sitting area, it was a wonderful guest cottage.
Ben and Linda were fantastic hosts. The room was just as expected and perfect for what we needed. The map shows the house as being far from town, and I guess in a relative sense that's true but even with the 25 mph speed limits we were downtown in under 10 minutes each time. The property is expansive and our dog had plenty of room to run and play and even got a chance to run around with Nelson. We'd definitely recommend Ben & Linda's place and will hopefully be back this summer for the Shakespeare Festival.
Ben and Linda were so gracious and accommodating as the weather was windy and stormy. They were concerned about our stay and what worked for us. We cannot wait to come back when the weather is nicer!
Ben and Linda have a lovely location. The cabin was comfortable and as described, close to Ashland but very quiet and private, much nicer than staying in a hotel in town. It was nice to have hot water for coffee and tea and a small refrigerator.
