Casa Emily is a great find. Centrally located-5 minute walk to Mazunte, 10 into San Augustnillo. We loved that we had an equipped kitchen and were able to cook twice a day. Good local produce markets very near. The fisherman come in between 8 -8:30 every morning so we were able…

The incredible view alone makes Casa Emily a beautiful place to stay. It feels private and tucked away in the mountain. The beach could not be closer, and food and shopping in town is a less than 10 minute walk away. Only advice is that you bring plenty of bug spray!

Great stay at Casa Emily. It was a true getaway, feeling like you are by yourselves in the best of a jungle while actually easily-accessible to the beach and town.

We has the most amazing stay at Casa Emily.  Situated perfectly between San Augustinillo and Mazunte we were able to walk to both towns, but also able to just be by ourselves. The place is perched above a small bay and we went to sleep and woke up every morning to the sound of th…

I was in Mazunte for a 3.5 week yoga/meditation course. The course was basically next door, so the place is perfect for people going to Hridaya. Natalie was super helpful in arranging transport and laundry service. The place itself had everything I needed--shower (not a given in …

(This is actually a review of the main Casa Emily house, as we were bumped from the Guest House because of a long term rental. It turned out to be an upgrade.) Pros: The house is beautiful though it doesn't feel exactly "lived in". The location is stunning, with access to both…

Not sure what you mean by "sharing economy". The house is rented out to cover the huge maintenance costs incurred for houses in this climate (hurricanes, heavy rains, animals of all sorts). The house was fumigated on October the 1st this year and we do this every 6 months. I think it is unfair to say this is prime scorpion habitat, referring to the house, when it is the tropics in general that create the habitat! I am surprised and sorry that no-one answered their phones though and will look into this.......
