**Newly Re-listed!** After taking a nearly yearlong hiatus from renting, we are ready again to welcome guests to our rustic riverfront country cottage. The quaint (approx. 800 sq ft). cottage is nestled in the backwoods of the Northern California Coast. The location is serene & breathtaking. Just steps from the banks of the Russian River, there are endless things to do & see but, sometimes, doing nothing is quite enough.

*There is very limited cell service. We have a landline & wifi.

The space
Our country cottage is cozy and homey. The front door opens into the kitchen and the first thing you will likely notice is the view of the Russian River through living room windows.

The kitchen is set up for preparing meals “at home”. We have cooking utensils as well as cooking basics such as olive oil, salt & pepper.

Through the kitchen is the living room complete with an ecclectic collection of books, a wood burning stove, and roku T.V. (you can sign into your own streaming accounts; some are signed into but access to all/any one in particular is not guaranteed).

From the living room walk out onto the deck to fully appreciate where you are. The river, hillside and animals will captivate you. We often have a family of deer that graze on the lawn around dusk and a little fox that comes to hunt mice. There are birds flying, feeding and singing all day. It truly is a special little oasis. Spend the evening dipping in the hot tub and star gazing!

The little bathroom is simple and small but efficient. Although small, the shower stall has good water pressure and an adjustable shower head arm so you can get the height of the water right for you. We provide body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Towels and linens are provided to guests as well.

Tuck yourself in for the night in a whimsical cottage bedroom complete with a twinkle light canopy, Himalayan pink salt lamp and other little touches. We hope you enjoy it all!

Our town of Duncans Mills is about 5 miles down river from Jenner and The Pacific Ocean. The town of Guerneville is a 12-15min drive in the opposite direction.

Take a brisk morning walk (about 1.2 miles) into town for great coffee and atmosphere at Gold Coast Coffee. Or, drive/bike/kayak (?) to Cafe Aquatica in Jenner. Both cafes have wonderful food and pastry offerings.

Back in Duncan’s Mills you will find several specialty stores, a General Store, and 2 restaurants (The Blue Heron and Cape Fear). In-town stores include those for home goods, antiques, records, books, art, wine, tea, and apparel. Spend a fun afternoon exploring!
