Casual vacation photos taken on your phone are totally ok and encouraged :) However, If you are interested in using the space for any type of photoshoot or video shoot, please message for pricing details. Pricing starts at $180/hour with a 4-hour minimum. All payments must be made before the beginning of the shoot. Unapproved shoots are subject to a full 8-hour day rate plus an additional $1000 fee. Upon arrival, you will sign off that you are aware of these rules. We do take it seriously as this is why we have decorated the house so uniquely. Owned by an interior designer, our home's unique design and breathtaking decor have been celebrated by many prestigious publications. Enjoy this work of art all to yourself! We recently renovated the yard with an award-winning exterior designer and it's unbelievable. Complete with massive 10' orange cowboy pool, hot tub, mural, gas-powered fire put, BBQ, sunbathing recliners, beautiful dining table, and outdoor lounge areas. With its expansive cactus garden and unobstructed views of the San Jacinto mountains, you won't want to leave.
The house is fully enclosed with a large gate and walls giving total privacy and safety. Our home is located in a very small community called Windy Point up against the mountains right before you drive into town. It is conveniently close to uptown/downtown, a 5-10 minute drive to either. Our neighborhood has more of a desert-type landscape than most of Palm Springs and more of a rustic feel. Please note that it can get very windy in the desert and can cause outdoor area to get sandy or push furniture around. With our compound enclosure, it feels very secure and like the world of your own which our guests love. We also have a security system with motion sensors installed throughout the home so the property is very safe.
Open floor plan with kitchen, dining room, and living room with two seating areas. Great for entertaining and spending time together. 3 beds with 2 queen beds and one cozy pull-out couch in the office. The office is separated by the master bedroom with a curtain that can be opened for smaller groups who want a larger master. 1 bath but plenty of mirrors and spaces around the house to get ready.
This is a historic and charming old home, not a 5-star hotel. Built in 1959 by world-famous designer William Krisel, the home is featured in his official NRP obituary. It is a real vintage experience and we do all we can to honor that while updating the space with gorgeous and top-quality floors, kitchen appliances, cabinetry, furniture, hardware, and decor. Please note the kitchen appliances are unique and european-style, so if you have any issues figuring them out please reach out to your hosts and we will do our best to explain them to you.
We do enforce our strict cancellation policy under all circumstances. If you are unsure about your stay, please think before you book! Read our cancellation policy for more details on what that means. Bookings made during the pandemic are at your understanding and risk as rules change. PLEASE READ THE POOL/TUB INFO:
The pool and hot tub maintenance person services them on Mondays & Thursdays. If you are staying during these times, expect to see someone working on the water. Please note that this is a windy and nature filled area so sometimes debris from the desert landscape will blow into the pool, all you have to do is scoop it out with the provided pool net if that’s the case. The pool is fully filtered and chlorinated at all times so water is safe to use. Pool/tub use is at your own risk. Please take care and responsibility when using the hot tub and pool. Changing the temperature of the pool or tub is against our rules. Please note there is no guaranteed temperature for either the pool or the hot tub. We are not responsible if previous guests have changed the temperature or if fresh water was recently added to the tub making it not as hot. The tub does take time to heat back up when this happens. Hot tub temperatures may vary as the tub maintenance person refreshes/replaces the water often. We do occasionally have technical issues with our hot tub, so please keep this in mind while booking. Though these issues are rare, if hot tub temperature is not to your liking or is not working, we do not provide refunds for your stay. The pool will occasionally have sand in it from wind storms. While it is cleaned 2X's a week, but you want to clean during your stay we have a vacuum and net in our shed by the kitchen. The metal tub edges can get extremely hot in the sun, so please take caution when in and around it. We advise our guests to avoid touching the edges during the daytime.
When the jacuzzi is running with the lid on, some chlorine residue might form on the sides. This can be eliminated by running the jets with the lid removed to allow proper evaporation. Please note that the pool cleaners do come twice a week and that the tub is at the proper pH and cleanliness level. The lid should be on at ALL times when not in use to ensure the heat remains. Do not remove the chlorine floater or filter attached to the wall of the time under any circumstances, even for a short period of time.
There is a charcoal grill by the shed in the yard, you’re welcome to use it, you just need to supply your own charcoal and lighter fluid. No use allowed if it is windy outside!

Easy access to the house with codes to enter & exit. We can occasionally grant early checkin our checkout with an additional fee, feel free to ask!

We do have security cameras on the exterior front yard/driveway/entryway and full backyard for safety and liability purposes.

The kitchen cabinets, counters, and appliances are brand new, so we ask that our guests be extremely careful when using the kitchen. Any damage will be reported and the guest will be responsible for replacement.
Absolutely no fires on property outside of our gas fire-pit! It is illegal in Windy Cove. Use extreme caution when using fire-pit, please keep 5 feet away and do not move or place anything near it. Do not put anything inside of the fire. Guest takes full responsibility for operating fire-pit. Must refill gas if used. Do not use fire-pit if it is windy outside. Use of fire-pit is not guaranteed due to varying weather conditions and/or if any repairs are needed at that time.

Please no sunscreen or body lotion of any kind in the hot tub, it clogs the filter and makes the tub dirty. You must rinse off before entering the hot tub. Please note if a previous guest has worn lotion in the hot tub we do have to fully refill it with fresh water and it does take 24 hours to heat back up. Do not adjust the hot tub temperature. We can’t always guarantee hot tub temperature. Please note the cowboy pool is neither heated nor cooled. We do not provide refunds if the hot tub temperature is not to your liking. Do not remove the chlorine floater or filter attached to the wall of the time under any circumstances, even for a short period of time.
If it is windy, please do not open the window behind the TV. We have had 2 TVs destroyed in the past. The guest is fully responsible for any damage.
