The main piece on the back wall of this room is called the Stary night, created by the famous Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. It’s a well-known piece all over the world and is considered as one of his master pieces. The Stary night was my main inspiration for decorating this room. The variety of blue colours in this painting create a calm and serene feeling, while the yellow colours create a warm and happy feeling. The different colours combined and the feelings that come with it, are the emotions I want to share with you when you stay in this room.

When you’re staying at Dionne’s Bliss, I offer you all the comfort of a hotel. Because I want to make your stay in Amsterdam an unforgettable experience.

Neighborhood highlights

You will be staying in the seventeenth-century canal ring area of Amsterdam. Which is on the Unesco’s World Heritage list. Within only a few minutes walking distance you will find, Dam square, the Anne Frank house and Amsterdam’s largest shopping area. The B&B is located in the 9 streets area of the canal ring. The quaint and quirky streets that straddle Amsterdam’s grandest canals form the city’s most photogenic micro-neighbourhood. Known to locals as De Negen Straatjes or ‘The Nine Streets’, this special neighbourhood is full to bursting with vintage and designer shopping, speciality stores and cosy cafés. Because of the big windows a lot of light is allowed to enter the room and give you a chance to take a look at the gardens of the typical Amsterdam homes and even a glance at the Westertoren. Anne Frank wrote in her diary that she could see the tower of the Westerkerk (the church) and hear the bells chiming.

Here's something about us too: I am Maria and I am an aspiring illustrator and I am also a mother. I have a Master Degree in plastic arts , fine arts and art history. After spending time abroad, I decided to stay and live in Holland. Apart from my love for art, I have always dreamed of having a small hotel where I can meet interesting people. What could be better than to be in such a fabulous and artistic city as Amsterdam! I have been away from this wonderful city and country for a short time. But it didn't take long before I came back to Amsterdam to rediscover it. Anyone who has been to Amsterdam one time, always comes back! I am Aurora and I am a fashion branding manager and PR expert. Fashion is my passion. I have more than 15 years experience in the fashion retail industry and B2B events. I have developed several PR activities for fashion showrooms, international designers, brands, individual press shows and shows for fashion platforms. In addition to my professional love for fashion, I, as a mother, love home comfort and want to pass this love on to you and make you feel at home. (Website hidden by Airbnb)
