We absolutely loved our time in Lipari, & staying in this beautiful house. Alfredo was fantastic collecting & dropping us to the ferry, as well as answering all our questions & giving us info about where to go & eat. The view from the house is stunning & won't easily be forgotten. Watching the sunset from the roof terrace overlooking the vineyard & the sea is particularly memorable. Thanks Alfredo!
Thank you very much for your welcome. Alfredo picked us up at the port. The house is ideal to discover the Eoliennes Islands.
The sea view is beautiful. A very good adress to remember!
Alfredo met us at the ferry and lead us to the house. He showed us around and offered suggestions for what to see and do. We had a great stay and wished we had booked more time there. It is a bit of a walk in to the house from the road and parking but that also means more quiet and off of the beaten path. The kitchen was good the beds comfortable the outdoor shower very nice the upper deck amazing especially at sunset. We want to go back and stay longer!
Alfredo was a great host. He collected us from the port and even dropped us back off when we left at 6.30am. He was very welcoming and helpful. The place was beautiful and perfect for what we wanted, it was so calm and peaceful. The views were extraordinary. You definitely need a scooter and I got bitten quite a lot so bring repellant. We went to the beach a few times which was nice - canneto beach - would recommend.
Alfredo was an excellent host - meeting us at the ferry port and helping us pick up our hire car before taking us to the house. The house is within walking distance of several restaurants, a couple of which we visited and were very good. The house itself is well equipped - wifi and air conditioning both worked great. The views, particularly from the roof terrace, are amazing.
This was our second visit to the Aeolian islands and also our second stay in one of Alfredo's apartments. This particular apartment was very spacious with a double bed downstairs and an upstairs part (also with a double bed) accessible via a spiral staircase. Alfredo had even installed free wiFi. From the upstairs part you can access the roof via a set of steps and on the roof was a sunbed, chairs and a table - ideal for watching the sun set, which Alfredo strongly recommended we do! One very refreshing addition to the apartment was the 'outside shower' - a great experience showering outside in the warm Sicilian breeze. The apartment was in a quiet location, with a view over gardens full of trees and vegetables. Nevertheless, the village is within easy walking distance with a few very nice restaurants - we had an excellent dinner in an affordable, immaculate restaurant with top-class service, called "da Marisa" ... highly recommended! The Aeolian islands are generally contoured by steep rocks, making access to the sea difficult, but we discovered a walk down to the sea directly from Alfredo's apartment (takes around 45 minutes to get there). Great fun ... and the people of Lipari are very warm and friendly.
