We welcome guests to experience our peaceful, wooded 30 acre property located in the foothills of Nevada County. Witness and listen to the sounds of running water as you recharge; lazing at our creek, hiking through the property, on the guest deck overlooking our natural setting or soaking in the hot tub as you enjoy the wonderful nightly sunsets and evening stars. Although you experience the sense of being completely isolated, you will be within 5 miles of 12 eateries and a grocery market.

The space
This space is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet and respite from urban life. Guests can float in our private creek during the day and at night fall asleep with the sounds of this waterway and a waterfall across our canyon while breathing the crisp, clear air of our woodsy property.
Guests will be welcomed to a 500 sq. ft. open floor plan apartment with your own outside entrance. There you will find a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, dining/living area (with futon), full bath and a king-sized sleeping loft overlooking a year round creek that can be accessed by driving down our dirt road or take a short (0.3 miles), but challenging walk through the trees. On the lower deck below your unit, you are invited to use a large, covered deck equipped with a hot tub, hammock, gas barbecue and patio furniture. We are also willing to share the bounty from a very large garden and seasonal fruit trees.
At the creek, guests will have use of a private swimming hole, a sundeck and several seating, picnicking and sunning places near the water.
There are several rustic trails along this 30 acre parcel that would allow guests to experience very private nature walks.
An additional Airbnb Experience is available for guests to spend several hours in our fully equipped woodworking shop to create your own heirloom cedar toy made from reclaimed wood. See details at our Airbnb listing: "Create Heirloom Toy from Reclaimed Cedar".

- We prefer you take off your shoes when in the house. Slippers can be provided.
- We are requesting 2 day minimum reservations.

- We request you bring your own floatation devices and water shoes for the creek
- Upon arrival, guests will be required to sign a full liability waiver. Swimming in the creek is at their own risk.

An add-on option is to sign up for a woodworking session in our fully equipped shop to build an heirloom toy from repurposed redwood or cedar. This is a 5 hour activity over 1 or 2 days to create your choice of a model T car, Biplane, steam locomotive or Mississippi style paddle boat. Details are available once you book your stay.
