Mariela was an amazing host she can give the entire hospitality industry a lesson or 2 ! It was the most phenomenal stay at an Air B&B .She took amazing care of every little detail !! Anytime we needed a taxi or any guidance, from local restaurants to shopping she was on top of it. She has a great team the lady who helps Mariela out, Boo-Boo( That is her name) was outstanding and always available to help out ! It was a very memorable trip and we would go back anytime we can to this property. It was a feeling as if we were her personal guest! Highly Recommend staying at her Property !

Staying at Mariela's place was the highlight of our trip. After traveling through Peru for a month it was such a comfortable and welcoming place for us. The cottage we were in felt like home and Mariela is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, she treated me and my wife like family. She really wants you to have a wonderful time in Peru and can help you plan anything to make your trip more enjoyable!
We had the most amazing time with Mariela and Bubu in Urubamba! My only wish is that we could have stayed longer . From the moment we contacted Mariela she was helpful and friendly. When we arrived, it felt like we had come home! The location was beautiful, situated on a river, quite a walk from the town but getting local transport was easy enough. She has 7 beautiful dogs - all friendly and fun to play with, but they are always around and in the house which we didn't mind at all. Mariela upgraded us to the cottage, which was very cosy and pretty. Had everything we needed incl some water and tea. And the shower was always hot. The bedroom was comfortable, and overall very spacious. Breakfast was great, with amazing coffee. Mariela helped us a lot with organizing activities around the Sacred Valley and where to go etc. Bubu even made us one of the local meals one night for dinner. We all had a great time drinking wine around the beautiful fire pit and chatting under the stars. We are so glad we could stay here on our trip and lucky to have met Mariela and Bubu!
Mariela and Charito, along with their amazing dogs are the best hosts you could ever ask for. They are honestly concerned that you have an incredible time while in Urumbamba. Mariela knows all the spots to visit, and the tours to take. She helped us every step along our trip, while at the same time making sure we had all the privacy we wanted during our stay. This is the type of airbnb experience that makes us love traveling this way. We didnt just find an amazing place to stay, we found real friends. Speaking of her place, it is magical. Her gated property is huge, lots to explore, including trails to the river. Beyond relaxing. She has put a lot of work into the apartments she has, they are super clean, and feel like home. Pictures, and words cannot do this place justice. And Mariela's breakfast, was one of the highlights of our trip! We've stayed at several airbnbs, and Mariela's is waaay better than average. The kind of place you walk into, and instantly realize you have made a perfect choice. We didnt just want to book a longer stay, we never wanted to leave! We can't say enough great things about this place. Stay here, you will love it. Mariela, Charito, and the dogs will shower you with love, and welcome you like family.
We had an amaaaaaazing two night stay with Mariela in the bungalow. Only thing we wished is that we could have stayed longer. Mariela was a wonderful host and made us feel extremely welcome the moment we made contact. The house, bungalow, apartment and property are beautiful and you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Breakfast was delicious and Mariela and Bubu made a huge effort to make our stay in Urubamba special. We did an awesome horse ride on one day with Mariela with cusco for you which was superb. Thanks again.
Both the home and the owner, Mariela, were great. The home was cozy, clean, and decorated and lit in good taste. In addition to the home, guests have access to the garden area with lots of seating as well as an outdoor fire pit, which was great for us on a cool night.
Mariela was super helpful and gave us recommendations of places to be, places to eat, and things to see. She also prepared us delicious breakfasts every morning of eggs, toast, juice and coffee. She was very accommodating, and even gave us a local cell phone we could use to call her or a taxi while we were out and about.
A couple notes to heed:
-There are dogs on the property. They are very sweet, but if you're not comfortable with dogs, this is probably not the place for you. We loved them.
-The kitchen is not a full kitchen, but it does have a fridge, sink, microwave, and toaster. I think Mariela mentioned she is planning on putting in a little electric stove or hot plate. But fear not, for being such a small town, Urubamba has a number of great restaurants.
-It is about a 20 minute walk to town, and a 5 minute taxi ride. The walk is very pleasant, mostly on a quiet dirt road. We did it many times.
Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!
