A true hidden treasure in New Orleans. Karen and Kelly are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was amazing and the smell of the cooking classes made me want to sign up for one of my next trips. Truly made us feel like we were visiting old friends!

Karen’s home in my opinion was a bit of history as well as a wonderful spot to spent the night.. My girls were fascinated with the stairs.. It was a wonderful way to dive into the background of Louisiana.. The breakfast was delicious and the fitting music playing was perfect! …

The hospitality was great and the breakfast was great as well. The location is a short walk to the ferry dock and the ferry is only $3 (exact change). The short ferry ride crosses the Mississippi and drops you off right at Canal street. Overall, loved staying at Casa Pelican.

Chef Karen Duncan and her husband Kelley Dodd are the proprietors of Casa Pelican B&B and Cooking School. As Super Hosts, we are all about perpetuating the "Southern Hospitality" stereotype. We love entertaining, the art of conversation, music and all things New Orleans. Come…
Interaction with guests
New Orleans has so much to explore, so we don't expect our guests to hang around too much...although it has certainly been known to happen. We love to have breakfast with our guests on weekends and make sure they get whatever tourist guidance we can offer. Most of all, we want…
