Welcome to Vesper Lodge. Nestled in the rugged Texas land of Wimberley with the prettiest view. The lodge has been lovingly restored to be comfortably chic.

Spacious enough for a large group but charming for a writer's solitude.

The sunsets and night skies are what drew us here.

They bring pink-cotton-candy clouds. Then the sun crowns the valley hills in mauve until the stars begin to make themselves visible. Slowly, a few at a time, until the entire sky is covered in brilliant stardust.

The space
The Lodge is an ideal place to come for relaxation away from your normal busy everyday life. Let the views restore your soul.

Take time to detox as much as you want from devices to earth and forest bathe. (But not to worry, we have wifi and Netflix if you need to binge too :)

Ready for some real hill country experiences? S’mores and a fire under the stars in our certified Dark Skies community. Bring your bikes for a weekend of cycling. Hike the many local trails, or take a stroll in Wimberley Square for lunch and shopping. Schedule a wine tour at the local wineries for a day excursion. In warm temps, swimming and fishing are a refreshing treat in the local swimming holes.

Many of our guests, come and never leave too! Just enjoy being around nature - true peace and quiet!

Whether you're looking for an intimate retreat gathering, a nature-inspired girl's weekend, open Texas space for family adventuring, or picture-worthy moments to inspire your creative soul, you'll be sure to discover the simple, connective magic of the Wimberley Valley.

Guest access
You will have full access to the lodge and the surrounding property on which it sits.

Hang out in the evenings by the firepit for smores. Enjoy a meal al fresco on the back porch. Hike about the Vesper grounds and go for a morning stretch.

Other things to note
The safe sleeping capacity of my indoor space is a MAX 10 people (ages 0-200).

1 king bedroom. 1 queen bedroom. 1 queen platform in common space. 2 twin beds in the loft. 1 sleeping space on the roll-away bed. 1 pack and play crib. A comfortable large sofa that can sleep a guest. ( 3 additional children could sleep by making floor pallets -should guests choose to bring their own sleeping bags).

* We have a charcoal grill available for guest use-(guest provide their own charcoal).

If you would like to sleep 3 additional guests or add a family or a couple's getaway for your group, we offer Vesper Cabin. Vesper Cabin is a charming rustic cabin with a bedroom, kitchenette, and rustic glamp-style bath. It is just steps from Vesper Lodge on the same private and secure property. It has a beautiful covered porch and a large Master Bedroom with a writing desk for those who may also need a private work or zoom space. Lined with a collection of favorite books, it's a wonderful hideaway for resting and relaxing. Photos of the Cabin spaces are shown in the additional photos gallery images and noted in the description captions. This space is TV-free for unplugging, but feel free to bring your devices. WIFI extends to this cabin. Please request the cabin in your booking request; we would happily add this for you. A charge of $150 flat fee per night is added to your stay.

We are a homeschooling, ranching and entrepreneurial family of five. We love travel, the outdoors, enjoying local and fresh food, and sharing and creating unique experiences. My husband and I have been married 22 years, with three amazing children. We own a 400+ acre Private Family Ranch in Wimberley, Texas - a sacred retreat from busy city life in Austin with cows, horses, goats, sheep, llama, ducks, chickens and critters of all sort. We love the open acre spaces to roam and amazing sunsets. We have two family dogs: Buddy - a loyal and loving Bordie collie lab mix rescue; and Gracie, a forever puppy-sized labradoodle. Wimberley is truly a special retreat with a small town and eclectic magic of its own. We love its proximity to Austin and the oasis of restoration and natural inspiration it provides. Our primary business is teaching online trading strategies to individual investors via our company Simpler Trading. My husband John and I are also both writers. We love film and books of all genres. You’ll find a selection of both in our AirBNBs. I love design and collaborating with talented designers, chefs and artisans to create fun and nurturing spaces and moments for gathering and living. Growing up, my family owned an authentic Mexican restaurant in Austin, Texas and this love of serving others in beautiful and connective ways never really left my heart. You may be lucky enough to find a jar of Mom’s famous homemade salsa in your AirBNB fridge on most stays. When we travel, you may find my mother, father and siblings pitching in as hosts. Life at the farm is a family affair. :) We love what we do because it allows freedom and flexibility of time, location and schedule to grow as a family. AirBNB has been an amazing community experience both as hosts and as guests of unique properties all over the world. We are so happy to be able to share this space in Wimberley with others!
