The space
My home is on a quiet road, ideal for a retreat from the busy city.
I live a simple life, though I continue to make pottery and offer private lessons, much of my time is spent writing. My home is conducive to reflection, rest and relaxation. It's a perfect place to be one with yourself and the nature around you. I do have one sweet kitty, who is not allowed in guest rooms or outside.

Guest access
I have ample parking space. You will need a car to get around. Having said that, I live on a most beautiful tree lined road. There are magical hikes through the woods at The Darling Marine Center, leading down to the Damariscotta river...chilly but swimmable.

During your stay
This is my home, and I do enjoy conversations with my guests, however, your privacy and comfort is my first priority.

Other things to note
Please note, I have a new , indoor only cat. Use caution when opening doors. This is a rural area, on rare occasions, we have a power outage. I do have a generator, and in a short time you will have power back on. That is, I believe, part of the charm of living in Maine.

Neighborhood highlights

This is a rural setting, though you are a 10 minute drive to the beach, in one direction, and 10 minutes to town in the opposite direction. The Darling Marine Center is a 5 minute walk from my house, offering beautiful gentle hikes through the woods, which end at the river side. Feel free to take a dip, though the waters are chilly.
