Happy Acres Ranch is close to Rainbow River for swimming & canoeing. We also offer guided trail rides and riding lessons at the ranch, but not included in cottage price. However we are not a dude ranch. We are a working horse ranch. Green grass and horses dot the landscape on 30 acres. Happy Acres is good for families (with kids), business travelers, and small pets. We take up to two small dogs 10 to 15 pounds. Please check with host about rules for guest with pets.

The space
The bed in the bedroom is a queen & is 73" X 60", the drop down table bed combo is 86" X 48", the pull out couch is 62" X 48."
Whistle Stop Camper is designed to sleep 3 adults & 4 children but we have had 4 adults & 4 children & we were told it was comfortable. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the dinning table can easily be dropped & converted to a bed to sleep a 6' 5" adult, pull out couch can sleep 2 children & the bunks can sleep 2 more children. We have a 32" satellite TV (Direct TV), A M3 CD player with AM/FM radio, coffee maker, gas stove & microwave, central air & heat, dishes, pots & pans, flatware and towels and a beautiful view of the horses. Please remember this is a camper trailer made for traveling. The shower & tub combo is small and the hot water heater is too. (See picture) It takes about 10 minutes to check in so we can explain how to work everything.

WIFI
The WIFI service provided by this host has become a complicated service to explain to our prospective guests. Those guests who know about WIFI and how it works will understand our WIFI service better than a novice. Anyway, our ranch is limited as to what we can provide and that is just the simple email part of the WIFI system and not some of the other options that are available from different providers in the city, such as streaming movies and downloading large files like pictures and videos.
Our WIFI signal comes from AT&T. When we first started it was DSL cable. AT&T was having a nightmare repairing the cable because there is so much ground to cover in the country where we are. So back in October 2021 AT&T eliminated the DSL and now provide broad ban cellular service. Our download megabits are 4 and our upload is 1 to keep it strong enough for email only. This strength will not allow you to stream or look at videos on U tube. However, for movies we have satellite Direct TV.
Remember the equipment you use (YOUR PHONE & SERVICE PROVIDER) has a lot to do with your success with any WIFI system.
The WIFI works for me all day most every day. It is not intended however to down load large files, Videos and pictures. So, if you plan to come to the ranch with that in mind, then we are probably not for you. When we say WIFI we mean for email and not streaming large files etc.
Also please remember that if you are staying in one of our campers here at the ranch that the metal veneer on the exterior will repel the signal on occasion and you will need to step outside.

Our neighborhood is in a rural country setting. Our neighbors have one to five acre lots with the horse atmosphere. Yet we are still only 4 miles from a Supper Walmart and some 15 restaurants.

Retired General Contractor & Developer. Now a proud owner of a little horse ranch in the beautiful country side between Ocala and the little tourist village of Dunnellon in north central Florida. Nice family atmosphere. 15 gentle trail riding horses as well as a few friskier ones too. We do all that we can to make sure all of our guest are comfortable & want for nothing. We make recommendations for restaurants, golf and tennis and what to do at the Rainbow River which is only 6.5 miles from the ranch.
