We couldn't be happier with Annie's amazing flat! Moving cross-country from Manhattan to The Bay area was a crazy time for us and having a great place to stay that was centrally located really helped ease our stress. Annie is an incredible host. She met us in person to give us the keys and show us her home. She really went out of her way to make us feel at home and to make sure we were well-informed about the area. We spent a month at Annie's and didn't want to leave, so we found our own place in Sausalito just a few blocks away. We loved the location, area and scenery so much we decided to stay!
We were delighted with our 12 days during Christmas and New Years 2013 at Annie's flat. It was quiet, in a beautiful setting & very comfortable for the 2 of us. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed - including filtered water. Annie is a very thoughtful, kind, upbeat, generous and helpful host. We felt very fortunate to find ourselves in a place where we could relax after the noisy, bustling week before in San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf area.
Sausalito is a very walk-able community with beautiful views everywhere. But the best part was being only 1.4 miles from our 4 month old grandson. Since we live in Virginia this was our first time to see him in person. When we wanted to avoid the crowds downtown and along the waterfront, we walked through the residential area on the hillside and enjoyed mountain & Bay views, foliage & flowers, streets & steps, plus interesting architecture.
We also enjoyed wonderful nature walks (with scenic woodland, mountain, and coastal views) in the surrounding Marin Headlands and Muir Woods.
San Francisco was very accessible via public buses and ferries. The Marin Airporter shuttle bus has a stop up the hill and you can arrange taxi service to and from the shuttle.
Cannot say enough nice things about Annie and her comfortable flat.
betsy & bill,
i'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay and that it was a great holiday with your family. i truly hope you'll let me host you again and that you will consider my little flat your sausalito home whenever you get the urge to see your grandson. it was a delight to host you.
The house is located in a quiet residential area. However it's less than a mile away from Sausalito City center, and we found the location very convenient if you have a car and want Sausalito to be your base for visit to San Fran Bay Area.
The place is not huge but is very cozy (truly standing up to its advert), has a lot of natural light. The kitchen is small but is very well equipped, has everything you may need.
We found the host extremely friendly, helpful, responding quickly to any question we had.
If you need a quiet place to stay in Sausalito look no further!
Annie is lovely to work with and this place is fantastic. Beautifully decorated rooms with all the essentials -cable, wifi, and a fully stocked kitchen. The deck out back is also perfect for catching a little mid-day sun. AND it's just a 8 minute walk to downtown Sausalito.
Annie's adorable flat was MORE than perfect in every way! It was super comfy & perfectly located within easy walking distance to town. Annie was an amazing host that thought of every detail to make our stay enjoyable. She is very knowledge of Sausalito/Mill Valley & every question we had during our stay was answered instantaneously.
We'd highly recommend Annie's flat. We stayed for a month & a half and didn't want to leave!!
Thanks again Annie for everything!!

Great flat in quiet area. Sausalito is a great place to stay when you visit San Fran.
What an absolute delight my month in Sausalito was and I majorly attribute this to the accommodations--the location, the convenience, the pure ease and comfort so thoughtfully orchestrated by Annie the "super hostess". Super is only one of the superlatives I could offer-- amazingly accessible and responsive with an all encompassing attention to detail. Five stars and more! Thank you Annie, from the bottom of my heart!
I needed a place to stay in the Bay Area that's outside the city of S.F itself, as I needed to be mobile by car throughout my stay.
Annie's flat is just what I was looking for. Besides the location (which is superb, just a few blocks away from the happening places in Sausalito), the flat itself is spotless, easy to live in, and fully stocked with little items that make your life that much more pleasant. The level of detail Annie went into making my stay enjoyable is bar none. I am a precise man, and enjoy reciprocity in precision, where she hit bullseye.
Annie I can't thank you enough for renting your flat. If I am ever back up in the area and need a place to stay, that choice will be obvious.
My wife and I fell in love with Annie's flat in Sausalito just from the pictures here on Air BnB. We were so happy when Annie responded (very quickly) to let us know that it was available for the time we requested.
From the time we booked the flat Annie was in contact with us and providing us with vital, helpful, and local information to make sure our time was without stress or concern in regards to the house and the area. It was comforting and reassuring to have a "Superhost" connected to the flat we were staying in.
All things at the flat were exactly as expected, very cozy and much like I would have my own home. While there are likely some ridiculously spectacular views in the California hills, my wife and I quite enjoyed the view and landscape from the balcony of the flat. It is a rather different landscape than what we're used to in Toronto and it had a cozy community feel to it.
Our trip to the San Francisco bay area was a total success and the experience in Sausalito at the flat was definitely a key part of that success. We fell in love and will hopefully return soon.
And an extra thanks to Annie for having the delicious fresh ground coffee upon our arrival! It made geting up in the sunny hills that much better.
Nice Flat, great stay and it was a pleasure coordinating with (website hidden). Eske
