Grazie.

  • We have spent memorable days in Gaspare’s country house.
The villa, built in 1661 with ancient Umbrian stones, has been refurbished recently, with all comforts: a wide kitchen, a very beautiful dining room with fireplace and satellite tv, bedrooms with en suite toilets, air conditioning, heating, wi-fi, etc.
The kitchen is fully equipped: fridge, oven (normal and microwave), mixer, cutter, pots, etc.
Showers in the toilets have been renewed, substituting curtains with glass boxes.
It is one of the rare occasion in which the reality is better than the pictures!
There is plenty of space with recreation areas both for kids and parents.
The area surrounding the house, part of the property, is huge (ca. 70k sm), with a small creek nearby, ideal for relaxing strolls in the nature.
Considering that by the end of October there is the harvest of oil with the possibility to visit an oil mill, if I had known it before, I would have booked for that period.
There are also two pools, including a hot tube for 6 people (unfortunately , closed in October). Still outside there is a perfectly-functioning wood oven for pizzas!
The house is located at the heart of the Umbria region, very close to many medieval towns such as ((Todi, Montefalco, Deruta, Bevagna, Perugia, Foligno, etc.).
Gaspare was very warm and helpful for everything.
The only black mark is that our staying finished too early!
Gaspare, thank you so much. We will be back next Spring.

  • What a wonderful home in the perfect Umbria location. We just spent 1 week in this home and it couldn't have been more perfect. First, the location was ideal for truly experiencing Central Italy. It's only 1/2 hour drive to so many wonderful villages and cities such as Assisi, Perugia, Todi and Montefalco. Along with that a very well supplied grocery market and seafood store are only 5 minutes from the home as well.

We spent every night making great meals in the well stocked kitchen and dined el fresco each evening at the wonderful family sized table just outside the kitchen.

Bedrooms and beds were very comfortable and to have individuals baths for each bedroom was a treat as well. Each room had it's own air conditioning so everyone could control the temperature best for them.

The highlight---the wonderful pool area. We were here in early August and it was HOT! Each day we'd venture out to explore the area and would always find ourselves back at the home, in the pool by late afternoon for a very refreshing swim. Truly a treat!

Everything about booking, the staff and the home was incredible.

2 small surprises to note: the listing stated WiFi and Hi Speed internet. There is internet yet it's a wireless network hot spot. Not very high speed yet still adequate. It forced us to truly relax so no big deal. 2nd we were informed that we were allowed a certain amount of electricity usage during our week and that if we went over there would be an additional fee. Made us conscious of our usage and still not an issue, just as surprise. I would never allow either of these to prevent us from a return stay as the place is wonderful.

Thanks Gaspare and Stefano you have an incredible property and it was a pleasure to spend a week here.

  • We just came back from an amazing trip to Italy, where we have stayed one week in the beautifull house of Gaspare and Stefano, in Umbria. The house is situated in the best surrondings, without any neighboughs. The pool and the tub was lovely and so nice with a bathroom for each room. Most of the time we realxed at the pool side, but we also went to nearby wineyard Cantina Baldassari twice :-) and to the cities of Todi, Assisi and Perugia. We were also very lucky to take part of the local festivale, which was cosy and very Italian! So all in all my best recommandations for this Umbrian house, if we ever get to Umbrian again we would absolutely stay in the same place.

Grazie mille Susanne. Thank you very much. A presto, Gaspare

  • It was a wonderful stay in Gaspare's house in the quiet hills of Umbria. Good location, all interesting sights of Umbria within easy reach for a day trip.
A really homely landhouse with great character and authenticity, in the midst of a large garden, with great hot tub, swimming pool, BBQ and play things. Airco available and really welcome in these hot summer months.
All necessary equipment in the kitchen, living room and also for TV (sky channels). Good internet connection included which was much appreciated by all of us.
Entry of sleeping area through separate entry, which requires some organization with keys, but not at all problematic for us; maybe more complicated with younger children.
But the greatest pleasure was the welcoming and helpful attitude of Gaspare and his kins. Great introductory tour to explain everything at beginning of the stay and good follow up afterwards- Whatever small problem, ready to help immediately.
The road to the house could be somewhat difficult to find on your own or at night, but we had Gaspare pick us up from a close by shopping center, which facilitated everything.

  • We went to Casale Santa Caterina for a week holiday with 8 kids and 8 adults. We would have gone crazy if the place hadn't been so beautiful! The house is big and the kitchen, dining and sitting area are connected for perfect socialization. The only funny thing about the house is that you have to walk around it to go from the sleeping area to the living area. We worked it out with baby phones... The external part of the house is very well kept and is safe for children to play freely (we made sure they never went to the water without surveillance!!). We lazed at the swimming pool, slept a lot, ate pizzas we made in the brick oven and picked the plums from the trees to make fresh pie.
The host was very kind, generous (letting us use personal belongings like toys for the kids, guitar, plums...) and extremely helpful when we needed hints for places to visit, restaurants and so on.
    We had a wonderful holiday!
