Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest.
We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.

The space
Clyde McCall owned the home and 400 surrounding acres. He made his living the old fashioned way. He logged and raised livestock, gardened and made moonshine, he lived hard and lived long. His family shares that he only had one glass of water in his life, and didn't like that. We have added a bunk house, bath house, and a shelter with a beautiful rock fireplace to the property. In addition we are converting a 1948 school bus to lodging. There's lots of room to spread out and enjoy the creek and relax on the nine acre property.

The cottage is dedicated to your comfort. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The guest bedroom also has a queen size bed.

We have a guest book at the cottage that will help you enjoy your stay. The visitors center in Brevard is also a great resource. We're always happy to share our favorite trails, restaurants, and music venues.
