Welcome to modern living in a mountain town. This comfy guest house is tucked away on a private road in town. It's open & airy at just 550 SF, and offers everything you would need for a short or long term stay. You have the whole house to yourself + outside space! Modern construction, angular roof line, high ceilings, neutral tones w/ pops of vibrant color, it's the perfect blend of refined comfort and contemporary vision. The space
The design and vibe of this property is inspired by nature and features colorful modern animal and plantscapes. With 1 queen-sized bed, it’s perfect for a single occupant or couple, with single level living so there are no stairs. It's a whole free standing guest house, JUST FOR YOU....there are no people to share space with, no shared walls or hosts, kids or guests living above or beneath you. It’s private and quiet and it’s R&R at its finest! It’s equipped with a full kitchen, private bedroom, living area and kitchen bar to eat at. There is central heat and overhead fans. *AC in the bedroom only*. With a lot of windows, there is no shortage of sunlight. Floors are vinyl planks (distressed wood) and the bedroom is carpeted.
Prepare your own meals; kitchen is stocked with everything you need including: dishwasher, oven/range, full-size fridge, microwave, all brand new/stainless steel. Coffee maker, cups, glasses, plates and bowls, flatware, pots/pans, crockpot, toaster. Counter top bar seats 2.
People come here to take adventures and explore the amazing area! But if you do want to chill, the open living room has a small smart TV, sofa, coffee table, lounge chair, ottomans and side tables and overhead fan. The private bedroom offers a queen size Nectar mattress (made of premium high density memory foam layers), high ceilings, 2 nightstands, overhead fan, and closet. Bathroom has a sparkling clean modern look and bath/shower. Soft towels and bathroom essentials are provided.
For 14+ day stays the cleaning fee is $125. You will need to pay an additional $40 up front.
No laundry on-site.
For 28+ day stays the cleaning fee is $150. You will need to pay an additional $65 up front.
Please inquire about security deposit, laundry nearby, housecleaning, snow/trash removal. Lease may be required.
The Guest House is next to the main house and has its own designated parking area and private outside area with table and chairs for two and a 6ft. privacy fence. In spring, summer and fall, sip morning coffee or eat al fresco enjoying fresh mountain air, you may even see some deer.
AC unit in bedroom only. This property also has 2 overhead fans and 1 vacillating floor fan for cooling in the living room and kitchen.
No pets, please do not ask.

The sofa is not a pull out or for sleeping. No additional linens provided.
Wifi is available and a SmartTV with access to many apps. You can sign in under your subscription to Netflix, Hulu, and more.
Service and ES animals- I am highly allergic to most animals so, out of respect, I kindly ask that you do not bring any shedding animals with dander to this property. At no point during your stay can any animal be unattended on the property or be on the furniture.
A starter set of supplies like toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels, etc. is provided. For longer stays, guests should provide their own.

Neighborhood highlights
Located on a hidden private drive about 2 miles from the heart of downtown Durango (5 min drive), the neighborhood is quiet and private. The street is hilly and a stroll around the block will get your heart pumping. It’s a quick 5 minute drive to the heart of downtown but there’s plenty to do within a short walk from the front door.
A coffee shop, pizza/burger & bbq joint are at the end of the street, a 1 minute walk. A delicious bakery, a Mexican carry out, and a popular sushi restaurant are a 10 minute walk. In that same retail center is a liquor store and yoga studio and women’s resale shop.
See my list of recommendations for more info. Dozens of trailheads to amazing hikes are within a 5-10 minute drive. Durango is very bike friendly and there’s a trolley stop at the end of the street.
