We have a light airy house in postcard-beautiful Plainfield, VT. Plainfield is a rural town in central Vermont within easy driving distance of skiing, hiking, swimming. A great location for seeing fall color on Vermint's back roads. Close to Montpelier, the state capital.
Equidistant between Boston and Montreal (3 hours each). You can walk (or run) for hours on the quiet dirt roads in the vicinity.
Room has a double bed and is in a separate section of the house, that includes a roomy living room with TV and a futon that folds out into a second double bed. Space has a separate thermostat you can adjust.. Private bathroom includes a brand new tiled shower.
You are welcome to use our refrigerator. We enjoy providing breakfast.
My boyfriend and I stayed with Gail and her husband while visiting Vermont in hopes of relocating. We had a very busy schedule and the space was perfect to give us a home-base to easily commute all around the state.
They are very friendly and accommodating, communication was clear, and the room and living space were comfortable and separated enough to allow us privacy.
Gail made sure to check in about our schedule and had a wonderful breakfast ready for us each morning. There are also snow shoes to borrow and beautiful scenery for a hike in any season!
We will differently stay there again if we are back in the area and we highly recommend it to others.
We had such a sweet visit with Gail, feeling ourselves treated like old friends. We could not have asked for a more gracious host, or for more pleasant accommodations. The space was roomy, bright, and private. Our two small dogs and out special food requirements were never an issue. Thank You Gail :)
This was the best place I ever chose at airbnb. Gail and her husband were as warm and friendly people. The place were all wonderful and amazing. They prepared health breakfast for us, and guild us their farm.Everything was great and impressive. Highly recommend you guys can enjoy it.
Gail and Start were in really nice hosts. Accommodating, had great communication, and their piece of land is beautiful. The house and guest area was spacious and very clean. The new shower space is amazing!
A very pleasant stay in a lovely setting. We stayed here while attending an event at Goddard College and it was very convenient. Breakfast was delicious and healthful. Gail made a variety of dishes from her own garden and local sources. It was nice to have a private sitting room where we could read and talk. The bed and the room were quite comfortable, and the house was extremely clean. Highly recommended.
Gail and husband Strat are amiable and accommodating hosts. We enjoyed conversation over breakfast and Gail surprised us with a wonderful homemade vegan banana bread! Guest quarters are large, spotless, and very comfortable. The views are spectacular, especially for our autumn visit. Wonderful stay; highly recommended.
Gail and Strat were as warm and welcoming as the lovely, spacious wing of their home we stayed in through airbnb!
Staying with Gail and her husband was a great experience. The room was cozy and we had our own sitting room. She provided a lovely breakfast for us and gave suggestions for nice country roads for scenic views on our way home.
Gail and Strat were both excellent hosts, with an aptly-described beautiful home is rural Vermont. Breakfast included local Vermont yogurts and Gail's homemade granola, as well as eggs and toast. And, if you're lucky, Strat's world-renowned crepes.
The room itself is comfortable and discretely separated from the common kitchen, living room, and sun porch.
Both Gail and Strat are world travelers with interesting stories to share over dinner. As well as information to share about the local area, including day hikes, apple orchards, and good restaurants.
Without a doubt, I would recommend any person to stay here for a quiet and relaxing place to explore Vermont's mountains and pastoral offerings.
We really enjoyed our stay with Gail. Breakfasts were great, with
homemade granola, yogurt, blackberry jam, & an apple crumble. We had hot tea & talked about our families, Vermont, & Calif.
